The Main Sales Problem for Career Coaches
As my 13-year-old would say - Mom, this is so cringe. Yep, it sure is. In full transparency, people are skeptical to even accept your connection request nowadays because they don't want to be pitched. Everyone, including you and me, is pitched fatigue. In today's newsletter drop, we're diving into the main sales problem for Career Coaches - Ignoring a harmonious experienced-based sales approach.
What is experienced-based sales? Well, if it's a new term for you, it's because this is my very own, proprietary method. It's a strategy I created based on my experience with sales and one that I've tested and implemented with my Catalyst group. This strategy helped me to create and maintain a six-figure coaching business and is effective in guiding my clients to do the same. Experienced-based sales takes a harmonious approach to your masculine and feminine sales style. In other words, this approach is knowing when to nurture and when to be assertive in your sales approach and sales process. It's implementing both styles versus leaning only to one or the other.
Let's break it down:
The feminine approach nurtures and offers the opportunity for the sale. It's a softer, inbound, attraction style. This is where you would allow your ideal lead to contact you and take action if and when they reach out.
On the other hand, the masculine style takes a more assertive approach. As you can see, you're directly reaching out to the ideal lead. You're being bold and owning your value by assertively telling your lead that you can and want to help. You seal the deal by instructing them to book the call via the link.
Even today, my comfort zone is to lean more towards my feminine sales style. I have learned that while there is a time and place to nurture, allow, and embrace leads when I separate my fear of sales rejection and empower my masculine sales style to take the lead, I book more clarity calls. Thus, increasing my revenue. I realized that it's ok to allow both my feminine and masculine styles to be in my sales process and conversations. This is the experience that I want my leads and prospects to have.
So, if you find yourself leaning too much to one side, I encourage you to balance out your sales approach this upcoming month. I'd love to see how this helped you elevate your sales skills - send me an email at mollie@lotusmentoring.net. I respond to every email.
