Make Some Noise!
The National Football League (NFL) season kicks off tonight!
The Combo
There is no combo like the NFL. A mix of superfans often fanatical about supporting their team, tailgating at the stadium, watch parties in homes, restaurants, or bars, and money dropping wildly on tickets, food, beverages, streaming channels, and betting. This combo is a mega money maker.
KC
Tonight the Kansas City Chiefs and the Baltimore Ravens have a repeat showdown of the AFC Championship game from last season. The Ravens lost and the Chiefs went on to win a second consecutive Super Bowl, beating the San Franciso 49ers 25-22. This season, the big question is: “Can the Chiefs have a three-peat?” No, it is not whether Taylor Swift will attend the game. Really?
The Chicago Bears
To know me is to see that I am a loyal Chicago Bears fan. As a kid, my Dad taught me the rules of the game and I’ve been a Bears fan no matter where I’ve lived. The start of every new season begins with optimism. This season even more so.
We can feel the palpable excitement surrounding this new and improved team, with rookie quarterback Caleb Williams and rookie Wide Receiver Rome Odunze, and valuable team members making the cut and finalizing contracts, amplified by Hard Knocks on HBO .

Chi-Town is ready for some football on Sunday in Soldier Field when the Chicago Bears (7-10 last year) take on the Tennessee Titans (6-11 last season). Chicago is a 4.0-point favorite by oddsmakers (variable). Go Bears!
Football vs. Streaming
Now, devoted NFL football fans have Thursdays, Sundays, and Mondays to shift away from a record-setting season of streaming TV to watch our favorite NFL teams play. But wait, some games will only be available for live streaming, shutting out some fans from watching the game.
Visual Capitalist reports that NFL reigns supreme with teams accounting for nine out of the top 15 most valuable sports teams in 2024. The NFL’s Dallas Cowboys are the most valuable team in the world with a $9.0 billion valuation. The NFL's shared revenue in 2024 is $12.87 billion.
The big question this season may not be whether KC can win a Super Bowl three-peat but will the NFL reconsider showing more games on network channels for all fans to see, not only those who can afford or have access to live-streaming? Either way, "Ready, set, hike!"
