March - A time for Reflection
It’s safe to say that March 2020 will go down as a month that no one will never forget. It's hard not to post a blog or write an article where we don’t talk about coronavirus and the effects that it has had on all industries.
The world has almost become still, people have lost loved ones, some can’t be in the same room as their family, schools have closed, businesses have shut down and some people have simply forgotten how to treat each other.
It’s crazy to think that an invisible force has pretty much changed the rule book of life, no one knows when it will completely end or how we get over it but one thing is for sure the day we hear life can resume normally the party will be one like no other.
Whilst we have felt the effects of this dreaded virus we have also been able to lend a hand where possible. I stressed time and time again that this was not the time where financial gain should be the focus and it should not be the time where you look to make a quick buck.
A few connections, friends and family thought I was mad to offer some of our services for free and in some ways, I can see why!
But after watching all these front line workers come together and help keep things normal in some way, I felt obliged to offer something back in my own way to someone that might need that little bit of help, so yes - I decided to offer some of our service completely free of charge!
Yes, this might sound very strange for a business that opened its doors in January to do this but I felt like this was a time where companies should come together and work with each to stay afloat – Regardless whether or not they have qualified for a grant or interruption loan.
Excel TM Group is still here and going strong, in fact, we have just started working on 2 new sides of the business which will make us even more diverse and give our partners more options for when things go back to normal – which excites me and the team even more so.
But for now, I want to keep March’s update very brief and just say a massive heartfelt thank you to all those who are still working, all those on the front line that are keeping this country moving and thank you to all those I have spoken to recently that have passed on well wishes to me and the company.
I have no doubt that we will get through all of this and when that might be, I don’t know but for now all please take care!
