May 2024 Community Newsletter
We recently gathered feedback from our UK Lean Summit held last month, and analysing attendees' perspectives has been incredibly insightful. We've learned a lot about what participants valued, what they gained from the event, and, most importantly, areas for improvement. We're thrilled to share that 97% of attendees expressed interest in attending the summit again, and 98% would recommend it to a colleague.
While the event was a success, it was not without room for improvement. Attendees suggested increasing the focus on interactivity during learning sessions and incorporating more frequent breaks. These valuable suggestions will help us to plan an even better summit next year.
The graph below highlights the most popular topics attendees would like to see featured at future summits. Notably, some of these topics, such as Core Leadership Skills and LPPD, were already covered this year, indicating a strong desire among participants to delve deeper into these areas.
Building on this success, LEA's Core Leadership Skills interactive learning session received an impressive average score of 4.39 out of 5 from summit attendees. Since the event, we have completed the development of the latest materials and learning processes in this subject area. For those who attended last month's Toyota Visits, you already know what a fantastic opportunity it is to visit their manufacturing facilities. Building on this experience, we are excited to offer you the chance to attend Toyota's 'A Lean Approach' Seminar. This seminar will provide in-depth insights into their approach in manufacturing. More details about Toyota's seminar can be found later in the newsletter. Watch this space for the 2025 Lean Summit theme(s), date and location.
Best wishes, Dave Brunt P.S. don't forget to subscribe to our YouTube Channel, as we will be uploading keynotes and learning sessions from the UK Lean Summit 2024 throughout the year.
