May Newsletter
Hi everyone, I hope you had a great April and are looking forward to the hopefully warmer weather this next month will bring.
I had to get away for a few weeks last month. My body was screaming out for sunshine! So my news is a little thin on the ground! We all know the benefits of Vitamin D for our wellbeing but I have been studying a lot recently about Energy clearing and Breathwork and there's no better way to clear negative mental and physical energy than by hiking in nature. So off to Girona I wet to hike the waterfall trail.
Ponderings
The main theme I have been considering this month is: Diversity. A few years back I wrote a blog on how 'without Diversity we shall cease to exist' and this concern keeps coming up for me at the moment. Our diet and environment is woefully depleted of the diversity of nutrients and minerals that we need to stay healthy. We should be eating around 20-30 different types of fruits and vegetables per week to give our microbiome the diversity it needs to keep us in tip-top condition. A new documentary has recently been released on Netflix that highlights the importance of this! Watch Kiss the Ground.
The best thing I ever did for my health was stop shopping in Supermarkets. The quality and diversity of food is limited and those long aisles of plastic packaging just made me super nauseous! Convenience in our lives, really is slowly killing us and the more time-saving short cuts we seem to implement in our lives, the less healthy we seem to become. If you want to read up on all the conveniences that are not our friends, give this book a read - Fatal Conveniences by Darin Olien. By the way, I have linked here to World of Books, where I now get all my books from as they promote second-hand and recycling. It's a more sustainable way to fuel your book habit!
Podcast
So Im putting it out to the universe that I shall be launching the Healthy Home Show podcast at the beginning of June. I am currently in full editing mode and am super excited to share some of the conversations I am having about how light in our spaces, or lack of it, effects our endocrine system with Dr Shelley James - The Light Lady and the effects that walking in nature have on our minds and bodies with Alex Strauss.
I shall be running a Healthy Home competition leading up to launch day so stay tuned for that!

Events
Grand Designs
Come and join me and the other experts from HiiGuru at Grands Designs Live which runs from 4th until the 12th May. I'll be there all day on the 7th participating in panel discussions from 10.30 am so come learn 'How invisible toxins in your home and environment are making you sick' and how you can optimise your home for maximum health.
UK REiiF
This is one of the biggest events in the yearly Real Estate calendar and I am looking forward to hanging out with LDN Collective and catching up with the lovely ladies at Diversity Talks Real Estate . Developers and architects are finally beginning to prioritise human health in the design of their projects and I am eager to be able to chat to more policy and decision makers around 'How our physical, mental and emotional health is effected by the built environment'. I am hoping that we can continue the great conversations we had at #Mipim earlier this year.
The Clean and Tidy Show
On the 28th May at 11 am, I'll be doing an Instagram Live with Michael from The Clean and Tidy show. We shall be chatting about how I healed myself from Fibromyalgia by tweaking my diet and eliminating as many toxins out of my home and lifestyle as possible. It will be a Q & A session so pop on the Live if there is anything I can help you with. I will also be speaking at The Clean and Tidy Show in October which looks like its going to be a lot of fun!
The Healthy Home Therapist
I am opening up some coaching slots from next month, so if you feel you could use some help with detoxing your home and detoxing your life, book a call with me and we can have a chat about your needs. Toxins tend to be the missing link that no doctor ever asks you about and if you are storing extra fat around your middle or suffering from lethargy and brain fog, its usually because your body hasn't eliminated these toxins effectively. By the way, detoxing is not about crazy juice diets and having to survive on rice cakes! In fact, quite often it involves increasing foods in your diet not decreasing.
