America the Beautiful Act Gains RVIA Support to Boost Outdoor Recreation Access

The RV Industry Association (RVIA) has thrown its support behind the bipartisan America the Beautiful Act, a crucial piece of legislation aimed at enhancing the accessibility and upkeep of America's public lands. Spearheaded by Senators Steve Daines, Angus King, Mark Warner, and Kevin Cramer, this bill seeks to reauthorize the National Parks and Public Land Legacy Restoration Fund, extending vital funding for land maintenance by eight years. Building on the success of the Great American Outdoors Act of 2020, which delivered $9.5 billion for campground upgrades and land maintenance, the new act proposes to increase annual funding from $1.9 billion to $2 billion. A key provision ensures that next year's projects can proceed under a Continuing Resolution, preventing any disruptions in necessary maintenance efforts. RVIA CEO Craig Kirby praised the bill, highlighting its potential to enrich outdoor experiences for RVers and families, and urged Congress to pass the legislation to preserve these cherished natural spaces for future generations. Stay tuned for more on how this could redefine outdoor recreation in the U.S.
