Meet the Winter 2024 Startups

On the cusp of a new era in the #AgeTech industry, we're excited to unveil the Winter 2024 cohort of the AgeTech Collaborative™ from AARP Accelerator. These startups are gearing up for an eight-week program that promises significant growth and exceptional mentorship.

In this collaborative ecosystem, each innovator will receive tailored support designed to amplify their unique vision. They bring to the table a variety of innovations, from advanced technologies aimed at improving the quality of life for individuals with hand tremors to integrated platforms orchestrating comprehensive senior care.

With the robust support of AARP , they are poised to make the most of the longevity economy, with opportunities for deep consumer understanding, expert advice, and strategic growth planning. They will also receive guidance on intuitive, user-friendly design critical for adoption.

Introducing our Winter 2024 Cohort:

1. 1 True Health is a digital health company offering an AgeTech solution called “trueLife” that identifies a senior’s specific physiological and psychological needs then engages, informs, and coordinates care with all members of the senior’s Care Network (family, caregivers, service providers, healthcare practitioners). We offer an integrated, easy-to-use, "one touch" platform for a senior to connect with the members of their Care Network.
2. eLivelihood provides families with a platform that helps them manage and organize the care for their aging parents. The platform offers a calendar with task management to keep everything on track, Safekeeper storage to manage all the important information like medication lists, medical condition monitoring, contacts and critical documents, time, expense and mileage tracking to manage the finances and customizable permission settings so everything is secure.
3. The Famileo UK & Ireland app automatically transforms uploaded photos and messages into a family newspaper, a printed copy of which is posted directly to an older relative's home. By bridging the digital divide, we provide an affordable and easy way to keep families close.
4. Happitech uses only a smartphone to screen high-risk Atrial Fibrillation patients in 90 seconds.
5. Kalogon revolutionizes the way the world sits through technological innovation, cutting-edge research, and customer collaboration. Our ultimate goal is to empower individuals to lead active, seated lives with enhanced comfort and well-being.
6. Koda Health is a B2B Enterprise SaaS solution targeting health systems and payors that digitizes difficult conversations in healthcare, starting with proactive, serious illness care planning. Our flagship product digitally guides their patients through the process of proactive healthcare planning, auto-generates legal documents that protect their care, and virtually notarizes these documents at no cost to patients while Koda’s tech-enabled navigators provide shared-decision making support to a system’s highest-risk individuals.
7. Nestimate is on a mission to empower America to turn their hard earned retirement savings into reliable income. They do this through a software analytics platform enabling retirement income solutions in the 401(k) space.
8. Peadbo (short for Personal Advisory Board) is a platform that allows users to build and manage teams dedicated to their personal or professional growth and create recurring newsletters for their broader network of supporters and advisors.
9. Sage Stream is a real-time, interactive, live streaming music network for older adults and their caregivers. An international roster of diverse artists, otherwise unavailable and unaffordable, entertain exclusively for clients, taking requests, doing shoutouts and making the experience as personal as possible.
10. Steadiwear Inc. builds novel stabilization technologies to reduce hand tremors, thereby improving their independence & quality of life. By consistently pushing technological boundaries and providing personalized care, we aim to be the most trusted destination for all tremor-related needs.
11. We Are Here is an AI driven platform founded by cancer survivors and caregivers to address multiple gaps in cancer navigation. The platform enables customers to offer patients and their families immediate access to navigation support, navigation that expands to include help with the impact cancer has on everyday life, and customized navigation unique to each person’s needs and situation, which in turn not only improves the patient and clinician experience, it improves outcomes and lowers cost of care.
