Melania Trump on Abortion Rights
Melania Trump Defends Abortion Rights
“It is imperative to guarantee that women have autonomy in deciding their preference of having children, based on their own convictions, free from any intervention or pressure from the government,” the Republican nominee’s wife writes, amid a campaign in which Donald Trump’s decision on women’s reproductive rights have played a central role.
“Why should anyone other than the woman herself have the power to determine what she does with her own body? A woman’s fundamental right of individual liberty, to her own life, grants her the authority to terminate her pregnancy if she wishes.
My Response: The human body and soul are gifts given by God. Therefore, men and women are “stewards” (overseers) of their bodies and do NOT have any “right” to destroy what God has created and given as a gift.

Any Christian (especially a Catholic) who supports abortions is in danger of grave (mortal) sin, which separates them from Christ forever, until they confess their mortal sins and ask for God’s mercy, which is granted to the repentant sinner.
In addition, the father of the pregnant mother is a crucial part of their decision process. It is not just her embryo and future child—it is his offspring as well.
Just as no person has, “a right” to kill another human, abortion is killing according to God’s laws. Abortion is so grave that the mother (and father if he agrees with her decision) is not allowed to receive the body and blood of Christ during Mass, if they do not confess in advance.
My theory is that Melania Trump’s “timely viewpoint on abortion rights” is a fabricated statement made by the First Lady, in order to defuse this hot issue before Election Day, in support of her husband. (Any "white lie" is forgiven if it leads to a greater good.) When did Melania have an abortion? It never happened in her life because she’s a good Catholic.
