Meta’s AI Revolution: Transforming User Engagement and Advertising in 2024

Meta Platforms continues to redefine the digital space, with its latest moves in artificial intelligence capturing the attention of both users and advertisers. The rapid development of Meta AI, nearing 500 million monthly active users, pairs with impressive advertising results that reflect a fresh approach to performance and user interaction.

Solid Revenue Growth and Strong Advertising Demand

In the third quarter, Meta saw a 19% year-over-year increase in revenue, reaching $40.59 billion, underscoring its strong market position, though growth has slowed slightly. Notably, key advertising metrics show significant growth – ad impressions across Meta’s app portfolio rose by 7%, while the cost per ad jumped by 11%.

Most active advertising sectors? E-commerce, healthcare, and entertainment and media, all of which continue to capitalize on Meta’s broad reach.

🤖 Meta AI – The Key to User Engagement

Meta AI, integrated into apps like Facebook and Instagram, is fast becoming an essential tool for engaging users, now approaching an impressive 500 million monthly active users. With the daily active user base across Meta apps reaching 3.29 billion in September (a 5% year-over-year increase), the company is focused on enhancing user experiences with AI, with monetization opportunities to come down the road.

💼 AI as a Support System for Advertisers

Meta’s AI investments are not only user-centered – the platform is also developing advanced tools for advertisers. From image and text generators to more comprehensive solutions like Advantage+ and Lattice, Meta allows advertisers to build more effective campaigns. A standout example? Businesses using the new Image Generation tool are seeing a 7% boost in conversions!

🔍 Meta and the Search Market: A Challenge to Industry Giants

With advanced AI technology, Meta is challenging search market leaders by developing its own AI-based search engine. Facing Google’s dominance, Meta aims to create an alternative that could significantly impact the digital ad market.

🔮 The Future of AI at Meta – Greater Access and New Opportunities

Meta is currently testing AI-powered video and animation technology, which is expected to be more widely available early next year. Alongside these AI-driven tools, Meta offers solutions that empower even smaller brands to create marketing assets efficiently and affordably.

Meta is undoubtedly changing the digital game, and its approach to AI and innovation is providing both users and advertisers with tools that cater to their needs. We can expect even bigger changes in the future as Meta continues to elevate its presence in the industry.

Impressive results, that's true—we don't notice because we don't see it. The only thing we see in the U.S. on Meta is increasingly higher advertising costs, and as for effectiveness, well, I'll tell you that sometimes we manage to achieve better on X, which used to be unreal

It seems to me that both Meta and Google, as well as other social platforms, have somewhat neglected AI compared to Chat GPT, their new search engine, and other companies that are heavily invested in AI. I don't really see a major breakthrough and utilization of AI
