We send out three cool things that we have discovered over the period of the week. We send this out every Wednesday, intended to be a mid week relief.

1. The Abilene Paradox : When Groupthink Goes Wrong

It is commonly believed that if everyone thinks something is a bad idea, no one will do it. However, a phenomenon called 'the Abilene paradox' suggests otherwise, named after a 1974 story recounted by professor and management expert Jerry B. Harvey.

2. The ‘Easy Addendum Effect’

This article is about how careful timing of your easier tasks could help you feel better at the end of the day.

3. Why Worrying is a Complete Waste of Your Time

There are instances when worrying can be constructive. It is called “constructive anxiety.” For example, it can help you prepare for something important, like delivering a speech in front of a large audience. Moderate levels of worry can help mentally prepare you for stressful tasks. However, excessive worry drains your energy and instills fear, making it a potentially distracting emotion when used in excess.
