Monday Muses~a step closer
Last Thursday after many many long months I attended a meeting within New South Wales Parliament House [as much as I want to say who I met with, at least for the next few days I must keep this part of Monday Muses confidential.
What I can tell you is that there was a very long discussion regarding the information I was providing, the implications of what I was saying, and why I elected a particular pathway forward.
In all of this the hardest part is knowing the impact that will be felt far and wide for the members of the injured worker community and for the providers to the workers compensation industry who get up each and every day and do their best. Many of the providers who have sought me out over the last many months are also exhausted regarding the "secret" they have carried.
I realise that I am being exceedingly cryptic in all of this, the simple reason for this approach is I know who reads Monday Muses.
My hope really is next week [or mayhaps sooner] I will be able to provide you with a load of information and [hopefully] you will understand just what it is that has kept me focused and researching late into many many long nights.
I do however want to apologise in advance to those of you who I have had to deliberately keep at arms length, I truly have missed your company and I have truly missed not being able to explain what it is that I have been doing.
I also want to say thank you to everyone who has reached out to offer encouragement. Your support has meant so much to me, I am truly grateful you have accepted the process that was required to be followed and have/do love me through all of it. 💗💗💗💗
A special love and thankyou goes to *Barry and *Ellen for knowing that I most likely hadn't taken the time to prepare dinner so they sent me pizza- they were correct, the pizza was very welcome 😊😊😊😊😊😊.
Again- I remind everyone in all of this I am just the connector of dots and the carrier of the information. Everything [with the exception of just 84 words] comes from public information.

My normal day to day work has continued over the last months. As it always seems to happen a tale of 2 members of the injured worker community almost mirror image each other. Both have similar qualifications both sustained similar workplace injuries, both required similar medical interventions and both have had similar recoveries. Both "lost favour" with their employers for different reasons. Here is where the similarities end, 1 received and accepted a new job offer while the other is still wondering where or if another employer can be found.
The challenge in all of it is to keep the second person focused and filled with knowing that the workplace injury has not in anyway diminished the qualifications and the ability to do the work.
It would be wonderful if the process was a "one-size-fits-all concept" but it isn't; in all of it it is important to keep focussed on open return to employment.

A short time back Craig's Table was invited to be a part of Workers' Voice. This is an interesting project that will bring together the thoughts views and experiences of the injured worker community.

Time for a cup of tea and check the garden after the strong wind that swept through it this afternoon.

I oft wonder where Marlo's mind goes to, though I have to admit I haven't heard First of May Bee Gees for a long time so it was wondrous to walk down memory lane for a few moments; I hope you enjoy the film clip as much as I did.
