More abundance in Marketing Center
Compass Family,
Yesterday, I spoke about the importance of having a positive mindset and today, I want to speak to you about what it means to have an abundance mindset. It means thinking “there will always be more” rather than “there will never be enough.” At Compass, this translates to providing you more resources (abundance!), even during this time, to help you stay in touch with your clients and strengthen your relationships.
This is why we have started to roll out a series of updates to Marketing Center that will save you more time by helping you create world-class marketing assets more quickly and more easily than ever before. See the new Marketing Center homepage below. We want it to inspire your creativity.
And now you can get to work faster with clear “Create a Project” tiles and there are also new projects to choose from, such as Sign Center, Email Signatures, Fonts, and Logos, to help make Marketing Center a true one-stop shop for all your marketing needs. We will continue to add more like Checklists later this month, Instagram Videos next month and Client Gifts by or before June 1!!! The abundance will keep coming!!! If you have ideas of what you would like us to add, please let me know.
The Weekly Spotlight section features timely, local, curated content developed by our regional marketing teams each week, so you can always find something interesting and relevant to share with your clients.
And best of all, THE #1 TOP AGENT REQUEST IS LAUNCHING THIS MONTH: Asset Library for all of your images and logos. Ever have trouble keeping track of the different photos, images and logos you want to use frequently? This tool will make it easy to find and access all of them right inside Marketing Center. And next month you’ll also be able to access Compass’ vast library of brand assets for use in any of your marketing material.
I believe that the more you give in life, the more you get in return — and the better you feel along the way. So in a moment like this, when it’s all too easy to fall into “scarcity mindset” thinking, our goal at Compass is to keep you in an abundance mindset by giving you new tools, resources and support throughout this entire period.
Make it a great day and enjoy your weekend!
Stay safe. Stay home. Stay inspired!
Best,
Robert

1yI think you’re miss reading the call and their financials. They’re playing an income statement game with their use of the credit facility to game their quarterly reporting. The old talk was all “cash on hand” which is fairly clearly their credit facility at this point and the original IPO which has largely been burned off at this point. Then they went to their “we’re profitably if you don’t count salaries” gambit. And now they’re focusing on FCF - which they’re not specifying as levered or unlevered, but as a result and based on of their perpetually unreconcilable EBIDTA and non-GAAP numbers (ie similar to “if you don’t count salaries…or if you remove our equity costs, or if you take out the legal settlements”). So that gives away the game, its FCF positive if you account the way we want you to account, but not via GAAP. The credit facility is the key to their financials - they’re playing an extend and pretend game as they pull $225m over 6m and pay $75m back after the reporting period. c.

4yLet's put your abundance theory to the test and see if you actually practice it. The number of job postings, at your company, Compass, that require no experience equals how much? Zero. You do not believe what you are saying. If you did, you would have a solution to the catch-22 rather than perpetuate the catch-22. The catch-22 is the #1 reason people have a scarcity mindset. If they cannot find a job after graduating or doing a career change, due to the catch-22, there is no abundance, only scarcity. Open up entry level jobs that require no experience, and also allow people who have transferable skills to get jobs.
I love the clarity of the UI. UI/UX is a big deal. There is an axiom in development that says, don’t make me think. The UX should be self evident and easily flow from one element to the next. Customizable checklists will be a big deal in terms of transaction flow. Especially if it translates into the mobile app. If you have applied a custom checklist you should be able to complete a task on the go. Much as you can in Apple Notes - create anywhere and complete anywhere. Kudos to the Compass Development team!
