In 2014 the hundred years of friendship between golf and the Kingdom of Morocco were celebrated.

The first golf courses were created in Tangier in 1914 and were designed by the famous British architects Cotton & Pennink.

In 1930, the Royal Golf of Mohammedia was the second golf course, following the Scottish tradition.

It was in 1933 that the Royal Golf of Marrakech was built, a golf course wanted and designed since 1927 by the then Pacha of Morocco.

King Hassan II, at the beginning of the 1970s, wanted to design a large-scale golf program, launching the construction of the Kingdom's largest golf course, the Dar Es Salam of

a 45-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior, in which the first Golf Trophy was created, commissioned by King Hassan II.

Since then, the Golf in Morocco has continued to grow and until 2014 there were 39 Golf courses in the Kingdom with the planning of the construction of another 7 fields, which will be completed by 2020 with the Azur government plan, aimed at recalling a even more tourists, giving them more attractions.

The Azur Plan includes the construction of new golf courses on the Mediterranean, the construction of large-scale tourist resorts in the areas of Larache, Tetouan, Nador, Marchica and Saïdia, on the Mediterranean, and Mazagan, Mogador Lixus, Oued Chbika and Taghazout 'Atlantic Ocean turning these regions into destinations for keen golfers in all respects!

Professional amateurs or amateurs, can decide to make a tour where in addition to admiring the beauty and the Moroccan culture, making golf sessions in various locations in Morocco.

1. Royal Golf Tangier was the first golf course built in Morocco in 1914. This 18-hole course, designed by the architects Cotton et Pennink, has been renovated, maintaining its strong British charm.


2. Golf Cabo Negro, behind Tetouan and the Rif Mountains, with 18 natural holes, Royal-Golf-Cabo-Negro-Maroccoprinted in the purest British tradition by Hawtree & Sons in 1976 and reviewed by Cabell B. Robinson, the beach of golf Cabo Negro is located on the slope of the Rif facing the sea. Thick bushes, dunes, water and hills adorn the landscape, which remains quite wild with agaves and mimosas.


3. Saydia Med Golf with 18 holes, is fully integrated into the lush vegetation of the Saïdia site. Designed by the Spanish Francisco Segalés, according to an American model but with touches of English style.

The entire infrastructure has been designed to ensure that players fully enjoy their game at all technical levels. Saïdia Med Golf has high quality facilities such as a clubhouse, a restaurant, a proshop, a fitness center and a sauna ..


4. Port Lixus Golf 18 holes, was inaugurated in 2010 and bears the signature of Enrique Saenger, architect of Golf Projects. Set in pleasant surroundings, the golf course offers several vantage points over the Atlantic Ocean and a lush forest, with four large lakes built in the middle of the course.


5. Royal Golf Dar Es Salam, located 10 minutes from the city center of Rabat, with 38 has hosted 43 editions of the prestigious Hassan II Trophy, offering three single routes of increasing difficulty designed by Robert Trent Jones Senior.


6. Royal Golf Meknes, the imperial city of Sultan Moulay Ismaïl. A mosaic decorated with fountains and fortifications that house a club house and from which you can admire unique panoorami on the minarets of the Medina and beyond, in the garden you can smell the orange blossom among palms and olive trees. 7. Golf Oued Fès, designed by Cabell B. Robinson with 18 holes is located at the foot of the Middle Atlas Range, in a wonderful olive grove, created in 1994, this course is a challenge to which very few players can resist


8. Oued Fes Golf Resort, a magnificent 18-hole course measuring 6243 meters long, designed by internationally renowned Scottish architect Jonathan Gaunt. An elegant combination of wooded and humid areas, it boasts a truly exceptional natural environment.


9. Royal Golf Anfa of Casablanca The Royal Golf Anfa is heavenly and perfect for relaxation with 9 holes, cleverly designed, for the players so that they can enjoy them all year round. The last hole is amazing. After completing the nine hole, do not leave the club without having visited the clubhouse terrace on the wonderful gardens and the famous Hassan II mosque minaret.


10. Royal Golf of Mohammedia, designed in 1930 by Hugues Lambert, this golf course pays tribute to the essence of golf, every single day of the year enjoying views of the Atlantic Ocean.


11. Royal Golf of Benslimane, south of Casablanca, with 27 holes is an oasis for well-being. David Cohen designed the first nine holes, including five dedicated to water, and Robert Van Hagge designed the remaining 18 holes. The par 3 of the eighth hole requires strength and dexterity to reach the green located on an island covered with papyrus. The emblem of the course is a little snail ... you'll find out. 12. Casablanca Golf Club & Spa, a prestigious 18-hole course located 15 km south of Casablanca, in Dar Bouazza, on the road to Azemmour. It is part of a large-scale real estate project, called "Opération Dar Bouazza", including a five-star hotel, a congress hall and villas.


13. Casa Green Golf, an 18-hole course that is part of a real estate project, located right in the middle of the Bouskoura forest and hills, is a stone's throw from the Sidi Maarouf business district of Casablanca.


14. Palm Golf Casablanca in the 18-hole Bouskoura area by Tony Jacklin, opened in 2015, a golf course that blends into these luxurious spaces where urban nature coexists in the most beautiful harmonies.


15. The Bahia Golf Beach was designed by the famous architect Cabell B. Robinson, who focused on respecting the environment while preserving its character and associating it with the magic of an exceptional site.


16. Royal Golf El Jadida, 18-hole course designed by Cabell B. Robinson, is adorned by four large lakes that provide fairways with spectacular lines. El Jadida, formerly called Mazagan, offers beautiful beaches flanking fantastic Portuguese fortifications.


17. Mazagan Golf Club, designed by the talented Gary Player, a South African golfer, considered as one of the best players in the history of this sport is, until today, the longest course in Morocco with its 6885 m.


18. Bouznika Bay, halfway between Rabat and Casablanca, wonderful path of nine of, with a beautiful beach. Designed by Robert Von Hagge, this club harmoniously combines golf with water sports. 20. Royal Golf Dar Es Salam in Rabat is already a legend for golf amateurs, the place where the prestigious Hassan II Trophy took place. 21. Royal Golf Marrakech, founded in 1933, was the first golf course in the city of Marrakech and the third oldest golf course in Morocco. The Royal Golf Marrakech was a favorite of King Hassan II. He was also frequented by celebrities such as Winston Churchill, Lloyd George, Eisenhower ... Designed in the twenties by Arnaud Massy, later modernized, it was built keeping in mind the joy of playing at the foot of the snow-capped Atlas mountains. 34. Golf Atlas of Essaouira, at the end of 2009, was twinned with another the Mogador, both of them designed by Gary Player. 35. Royal Golf Agadir, in 1951, a Scottish, enthusiastic golfer named Mister Wilson, dug a single hole that, at the time, was a wasteland. From there, Colonel Major Kamili, not less enthusiastic but more constant, dug the next eight holes that now, are part of the Royal Golf of Agadir.


36. Golf du Soleil, designed in 1999, by Muela and Courbin including lakes and waterfalls, 18 thus combining beauty with difficulty. 37. Golf de l'Océan, designed by the American architect Belt Collins and inaugurated in 2010 with 19 holes. Fragrant scents of pine, eucalyptus and mimosa, cradled by the subtle ocean breeze, this golf course is open all year round under the perpetual turquoise sky. A combined 3-hole golf course, set on natural sand dunes and eucalyptus, tamarind, cypress, mimosa, broom, palm and other flowers, to which 4 lakes have been added. Designed by the famous architect Belt Collins on 3 concepts: Desert, Dune and Gardens, the golf course hosted the prestigious competition, European Tour Hassan II Golf Trophy and Lalla Meryem Cup for four years.

39. Taghazout Bay Resort, Taghazout Golf, the first 18-hole golf course opened in 2015. Located in the heart of Taghazout Bay Resort, the Tazegzout Golf Club offers 18 holes that combine technical challenges with the pleasure of playing. Designed by Kyle Phillips, the golf course takes full advantage of the existing topography and blends well with its surroundings, preserving the argan trees. Located 80m above sea level, Tazegzout offers, from every hole and from the terrace of the Club House, spectacular views of the Ocean and the hills where the prestigious argan is grown.
