My 2021 Holiday Message

My 2021 Holiday Message

Good tidings of comfort and joy with Warm Holiday Wishes to You and Your Loved Ones, whatever holiday you are celebrating.

Gandhi once said that gentleness, generosity and self-sacrifice were not the exclusive possession of any race and religion.

John Lennon asked us to Imagine a world where humanity itself, would erase the man-made lines that continue to divide us

As the season includes the turning of the page from one year to another, offering fresh starts and second chances, it also means that this is the time of the year to consider the stark differences between:

- time and money

- the correlation between health, happiness

-the fear of regret vs. leaving things undone,

All of the aforementioned seems more important now than ever in light of the many loved ones lost and the tens of millions lives affected by a pandemic (plague).

Husbands, wives, grandparents, children, grandchildren, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, employees, friends and neighbors. You see, its s not just the 5.5 million lives taken by the virus, it is also all the people in their lives. Lots of broken hearts, loneliness and sadness goes along with all those empty chairs at this year's holiday table.

As we look back on 2021, we must consider the price of our own enjoyment and freedom versus the cost that may be borne by others because of our actions. “Do unto others….” has never been more apt.

After all, it is truly in the shelter of each other, that all of the people live.

Kindness matters...

Time matters…

Money, perhaps not so much!

Having ENOUGH of each to share, now seems to matter most!

Here is my list of Holiday Wishes:

For you to live a life filled with genuine kindness, benevolence, passion for compassion and gratitude in your mind and heart

That you will allow kindness to be seen as your greatest strength in the New Year and beyond

That you will eternally feel the joy of being a giver, not a taker

That you to understand that kindness and gratitude shouldn’t be seasonal. Pay it forward and show that you genuinely care about others

That you truly believe in your mind and heart that it doesn’t matter where someone came from, or how they got there, it only matters what they do once they arrive in your life.

That you will only be stressed by things that are relevant to you. (Please stop making stupid people famous)

That YOU have the courage to become the change that YOU want to see in others.  I hope that you can muster the courage to BE what you SEE for YOURSELF when others don’t see it in you. Have the courage to be disliked!

That you NEVER trade your authenticity for someone else’s approval. You understand that genuine imperfection is ALWAYS more attractive than disingenuous perfection. Just Be Real and Proud to be YOU

That you will always possess a child's curiosity but retain an awe-inspiring humbleness.

That you will not fall into the trap of believing that what you do is more important than what and who you are. Let what you are ultimately determine what you do. Have the courage to allow your passions define your purpose

That you help erase those man-made lines of division, first in your own mind and heart, and then in others. Help them IMAGINE a world of humanity.

That you will honor and respect the blessing of TIME. Remember, we can always make more money, but not more time. While it is true that TIME is the most precious of all commodities, it is equally important to consider that TIME is also an appreciating asset, as we get older, it becomes more valuable. TIME must be valued more than MONEY. It must be cherished, protected, made the most of, and never, ever wasted. After all you can never really own anything in your life, that doesn't ultimately own you, and your time.

That you live a lifetime of good health, family happiness and the comfort and joy of having been blessed with ENOUGH

Ode to ENOUGH - May you always have ENOUGH of the things you need for yourself and more than ENOUGH of the things you'd like to share with others. In this way, your hands will always be extended in friendship and never in want...

And should you find yourself more fortunate than others, build a longer table, not a taller fence. While the grass isn't always greener on the other side, it will always be greener where you water it!

My Best to All
