With my 3R's, 4C's, you'll shine more!

With my 3R's, 4C's, you'll shine more!

Today I share some thoughts to help polish you to shine even brighter, like a expertly cut gemstone, via your LinkedIn posts and comments, essential to being recognized as a go-to connection and referable advisor to those who need your services (not to discount a fantastic LinkedIn personal profile of course!):

Remember my 3 R’s.

  1. Relevance: appeal to your readers’ and connections’ need for up-to-date material that you observe on your own and/or curate from others.
  2. Reliability: check and confirm the sources of information you share and add your own lens to it. Be a giver more than a getter.
  3. Referability: connections will confidently share your name and comment positively to their colleagues when they are asked “Hey, do you know a good person who…?”

Coopt my 4 C’s.

  1. Concise: write your posts clearly, and keep in mind limited attention spans and that others are not in your field, though they may need your expertise.
  2. Cogent: use your words and multimedia well, including powerful verbs and rich adjectives, to show your depth of experience and insight.
  3. Consistent: offer your views regularly (try 2-3 times a week) and especially when something is compelling, so you are seen being on top of the breaking news.
  4. Compelling: all the above wrap up into being a compelling and memorable source of expertise and THE go-to person others want to be associated with.

Sometimes you just need some ideas to make LinkedIn more interesting: from you to your readers so they contribute back to you, so I offer these as inspiration to "up" your LinkedIn branding game.

Just contact me if you need more mojo.
