A new day...

A new day...

It is not every day that you launch something new. However, today, I am pleased to announce that through The Deeper Change Academy, we now have the means to bring about a cultural shift in organisations so that Managers can add coaching as a skill to their toolkit.

The new program Coaching Essentials for Managers is a game-changer, providing easy access to managers who are time—and/or fund-restricted.

The importance of this course and coaching for managers

I recently wrote an article about the importance of coaching for managers and how this significantly increases productivity, happiness, longevity of tenure, and ownership capability of staff. All of these things are significant in creating an outstanding management career.

Up until now, managers who wanted to add coaching as a skill have had to attend cohort programs that go very deep and give them a thorough and complete coaching experience over six months. Whilst this is still possible and highly recommended in some cases, many managers are simply not ready or do not have the time to undertake this level of upskilling.

This course now teaches managers this skill so that they can get started using coaching with their reports.

The cohort program for going deeper

If you have been following these articles, you will probably have noticed that The Deeper Change Academy also offers a 6-month cohort program for business people who want to learn how to coach to the ICF level 1 standard. This is ideal for those who want to excel at coaching and create a coaching culture within the organisation.

You can review this course if it is more appropriate for your needs.

Certification

Completing the Coaching Essentials for Managers on-demand online self-paced course provides managers with two coaching certifications. The first is The Deeper Change Academy certification of completion, and the second is the ICAgile-certified Coaching Essentials micro-credential.

This is an ideal metric for your change assessments, as it shows how many managers are now certified in this incredibly useful skill. Track this and what the outcome is over time with reduced staff attrition, higher performance, and more staff happiness and ownership.

The course contains small exams after each section that shows the knowledge has been transferred, as well as practice sessions for the manager to try out their coaching skills and improve.

What can you do?

If you are a manager who wants to progress by adding a coaching stance to your managerial toolkit, check out the new course at The Deeper Change Academy.

If you are a change agent frustrated with the slow progress and uptake of change initiatives and with managers' lack of understanding of the change process, I recommend you review the course and recommend it to managers at your organisation. It can form a big part of the change strategy and catalyse a coaching culture.

If you would like advice on how to plan for a coaching cultural shift, get in touch, and we can arrange a call where you can explain what you are trying to do.
