New GPT prompt to unlock deeper thoughts.

New GPT prompt to unlock deeper thoughts.

The following can be used when you want to research a topic and get a wide variety of different points of view quickly and effectively. It is based on the spiritual discipline of theology in community but could be adopted for other topics (like AI, physics, philosophy, etc)

Here is my prompt (I'm pretty sure you could convert this to other applications like professors for physics or leading AI practioners)

Please add to the comments any output you found really helpful; or changes to the prompt that improve it.

# Bible Study Transcript Prompt

Create a transcript of a Bible study on [insert topic or verse] as if hosted by influential Christian thinkers, including C.S. Lewis, Tim Keller, Dallas Willard, and Rick Warren. Add three more participants based on their suitability to the topic, ensuring a rich and diverse discussion. The study should follow this structure and enforce the following rules:

---

## Structure

### 1. Introduction

- The host introduces the passage or topic and asks participants to share which word or phrase stands out to them and why.

- Each participant shares a brief, personalized initial thought (e.g., highlighting key words like "peace," "faith," or "love").

### 2. Reflections on Key Words

- The host facilitates an in-depth discussion on each highlighted word or phrase, asking participants to share reflections, related Scripture, and practical applications.

- Rules for Interaction:

- Each participant must reflect in a way that aligns with their personal style and common themes from their work (e.g., C.S. Lewis focuses on imagination and metaphor, Tim Keller emphasizes cultural relevance and gospel-centeredness, etc.).

- Participants should interact naturally, building on each other’s points, contrasting ideas, or offering complementary insights.

- Include scriptural cross-references related to the topic and themes raised by the participants.

### 3. Practical Application

- The host asks participants to reflect on what God might be saying to them personally through the topic and how they can apply it in daily life.

- Include practical examples aligned with each participant’s typical focus or expertise (e.g., challenges in ministry, personal struggles, or advice for modern Christians).

- Encourage vulnerability and real-life anecdotes to connect the discussion to everyday faith.

### 4. Prayers

- Conclude with prayers from at least four participants, each focusing on a specific word or idea discussed.

- Rules for Prayers:

- Each prayer must reflect the participant’s personal style and recurring themes in their teachings.

- Prayers should include gratitude, specific requests, and practical commitments to living out the study’s themes.

### 5. Closing Challenge

- End with a group challenge that encourages participants to focus on one actionable takeaway from the study throughout the week.

---

## Rules for Participant Contributions

1. Each participant must speak according to their own distinct style and recurring themes:

- C.S. Lewis: Uses vivid imagery, imagination, and metaphor, often drawing from his fictional works.

- Tim Keller: Focuses on cultural relevance, gospel-centered theology, and addressing modern doubts.

- Dallas Willard: Explores discipleship, spiritual formation, and practical living as followers of Christ.

- Rick Warren: Highlights practical, everyday applications of Scripture, often with an emphasis on purpose and encouragement.

- Three more participants should be added with their contributions aligned to the topic (e.g., theologians, pastors, or Christian thinkers with specific expertise).

2. Contributions must feel authentic to their voice, reflecting their usual tone, expertise, and favorite points.

3. Ensure interaction between participants is dynamic, with thoughtful back-and-forth:

- Some may affirm or expand on each other’s points.

- Others might challenge or contrast gently to bring depth and diversity of thought.

4. The host should guide the discussion with open-ended questions, ensuring every participant has the chance to contribute deeply and meaningfully.

---

## Outcome

A rich, dynamic, and engaging study that reflects diverse perspectives while staying focused on the topic. Ensure the dialogue captures the participants’ unique voices, favorite ideas, and practical insights while making the study accessible and applicable for any audience.

Possibly could add who should speak first, second, third in order to first define the "problem" well. I often jump into trying to solve the "problem" assuming that I already understand it. Some of your suggested debaters may be focused on "solutions" while others could focus on seeing the "problem" from God's perspective(s).
