NEW ROLE Quantity Surveyor/Senior Quantity Surveyor – Residential / extra care / apartments – South Manchester - Up to £65k + package -07980 006 436
Client
A medium sized, well established contractor with an excellent reputation. A residential specialist building contractor
Duties
Managing cash flows / budgets and all financial information as per the companies policies and processes.
Ensuring group policies and processes are followed and reported fully on all build-related expenditure.
Management of the working partnerships with Housing Associations, third party providers and sub-contractors to ensure that all contractual terms are met and ensure that all orders are placed
Collaborate with departments across the business to improve cost effectiveness and ensure timely delivery of projects whilst providing cost advice on any aspect of the build as and when required.
A key part of determining and agreeing site start programmes and timescales.
Authorising and committing expenditure on the internal COINS ERP system
Monitor, reconcile and recharge any costs which relate to shared cost items with other internal teams and offices as well as external companies.
Candidate
· Experience of working with a social housing contractor on residential projects
· Quantity Surveying or similar Degree - Preferable
· A good understanding of all aspects of surveying and contractual procedures

· Understanding of the financial implications of the methods and sequences of build
· In-depth knowledge of the construction industry
· Good knowledge of commercial and financial management systems and controls
· Strong personal organisational skills
· Ability to work alone but also as part of a team within a growing business
· Computer literacy
• Experience using JCT D&B suite of contracts.
• Experience managing/Leading a team
• Solid and varied commercial/contractual knowledge
• Good knowledge of commercial and financial management systems and controls
• Computer literacy especially in Microsoft Excel
• Ability to juggle a number of projects and tasks at the same time
Salary
• Up to £65,000
