Whether you believe it or not, Nigeria will rise again. The sleeping giant will wake up from her sleep (maybe slumber). So many of us have lost all hope in Nigeria, due to numerous reasons which is highly understandable.

No human being anywhere in the world is ever born with hatred from childhood; instead hatred is instilled into children by those around them (parents, friends, tutors, etc). Unfortunately, due to a person’s bad experience with someone else from another tribe, such a person automatically assumes that all people from that tribe exhibits such behaviors, forgetting that there is no tribe anywhere in the world that does not possess bad eggs among them.

I am a Yoruba man and proud to be, I remember been told in several private conversations, that the Igbo man is not to be trusted at all, that many can do anything for money including money rituals involving human lives and that they can be very greedy, mind you I have not been to the Eastern part of Nigeria before, but you know the interesting thing is that some of the nicest people I have met turned out to be Igbo’s, Dr  Chima Amadi and Mr. Edmund Obilo stands out as wonderful set of individuals who are Igbo’s .

Does that mean those private conversations were wrong? Not exactly, probably those advisers had experienced the wrong sets of Igbo’s, which I believe are the minority, for your information there are also some few wicked Yoruba people who are into rituals and greedy also, but does that makes me hate my tribe, no !

I have also had private conversations before also about the Hausa man; I have been told how the Hausa’s are very dogmatic, one dimensional, loyal to a fault and ready to shed blood at the slightest provocation, mind you also I have never been to the North, but funny enough many of the Hausa’s I have encountered in the south west are very cool set of people, for those of us that boards motorcycle , you may have noticed the honesty of the Hausa man when it comes to saying the correct price of the bike fare, in fact one of the most generous set of Nigerians I have seen are the Hausa ’s  and they are also very interesting to engage in discussions with.

Does that mean that the accusations against the Hausa’s are baseless? I don’t think so, again these advisers must had experienced what I believe to be the minority bad eggs of the Hausa’s people, let me shock you, we have some few dogmatic, one dimensional , loyal to a fault and violent Yoruba people, does that make the Yoruba race bad ? No! It does not. I love the Yoruba race despite the bad eggs among us

I don’t know what you the other tribes say about us (Yoruba tribe) but I guess you will say something like the Yoruba’s are pleasure seekers to a fault and very arrogant set of people and various other things, well again I believe that you must have experienced the minority, which tribe does not have pleasure seekers to a fault and arrogant set of people.

What am I driving at? Simple, there are bad eggs in every tribe and among each tribe there is high level of injustice to the extent that people of the same tribe are confidently cheating on themselves without any remorse whatsoever.

Let’s remove this programmed mindset of distrust and hatred of other tribes from our heads, the solution for us is to work and stick together as a nation and make Nigeria great again. So when next somebody beside you criticize another tribe in your presence, tell them to stop, enlighten them and maybe refer them to this article ,let them know that all we need to do is to work together and kick out the evil ones among us.

Don’t defend a thief because he comes from your tribe, a thief is a thief irrespective of the tribe and should face the punishment of the law. There is nothing like tribe, the same blood color runs in everyone of us irrespective of where you are from, so we are all equal.

Always feel free to share this article on whatever platform, also feel free to post your comments; I am always ready to learn from you and eager to hear from, as we work together to make the world a better place for everyone of us(irrespective of where you come from)

Be a positive change agent wherever you find yourself.

God bless every one of us.
