January 18th, 2023: Trade and Connectivity Challenge – 4th Edition Info Session Calling all Nordic startups! Join Enterprise Singapore and Nordic Country Partners in Singapore – Nordic Innovation House Singapore, Business Sweden, Innovation Norway, Business Iceland and the Embassy of Finland in Singapore and the Embassy of Denmark in Singapore in the Trade and Connectivity Challenge – 4th Edition Info Session to learn more about the seven challenge statements, grant prizes, eligibility criteria, and application details.

 The Trade and Connectivity Challenge is organised by Enterprise Singapore, seeking solutions that will address on-the-ground operational needs and drive partnerships between corporates and startups to co-create solutions that can boost digital transformation in the trade and connectivity sectors such as aviation, maritime, land mobility, logistics and trade. The Corporate Challenge Sponsors include the Bollore Logistics Singapore, Equatorial Marine Fuel Management Services, IMC Pan Asia Alliance, PSA Corporation, Tionale and Toll Group. The challenge application closes on March 1st, 2023.

Slush Day 1, November 17th, 2022 | Helsinki Convention Center (Messukeskus) Siipi Wing On the first day of Slush, the Nordic Innovation Houses jointly hosted an official Slush side event that was completely sold out two weeks prior to event day! Together with key supporting partners - AstraZeneca and A.Catalyst, BioVentureHub, SMU Institute of Innovation & Entrepreneurship, America Energy Society and Shibuya Startup Support, the event saw investors, scaleups, government agencies and innovation hubs that are keen in driving sustainability. Participants aimed to expand their networks and learn about Nordic Innovation Houses’ focus areas, activities and support for Nordic companies seeking new market opportunities in Asia or the US.

Slush Day 2: November 18th, 2022 | AstraZeneca A.Catalyst Networking Booth – On Day 2 of Slush with AstraZeneca BioVentureHub, mobilityXlab, Business Sweden and the Nordic Innovation Houses at the AstraZeneca A.Catalyst Networking Booth! The panel topic, “Cross-Sector Convergence – An Accelerator of Innovation and Talent Attraction” saw our panellists having a down-to-earth talk about the recipe for a collaborative environment. In the Nordics, innovation is overflowing because of the strong ecosystem approach where companies and businesses like and practice engaging all players in the room at the same time. Information is shared in a collaborative way instead of working in silos for fear of competition.

November 10th: She Loves Tech Global Conference 2022 – Icelandic Minister of Higher Education, Science and Innovation, H.E. Áslaug Arna Sigurbjörnsdóttir's first visit to Singapore accompanied by a delegation of 23 Icelandic educators and industry leaders. During her trip, she also participated in a fireside chat at the She Loves Tech Global Conference 2022, Asia’s Flagship Conference for Women and Tech as a speaker along with the Senior Minister of State, Ministry of National Development Singapore and Ministry of Foreign Affairs Singapore, Sim Ann. Both women in power and politics shared their aspirations in the ministry and how tech can empower women in our future generations. November 14th: Singapore Airlines AppChallenge Startup Track Grand Finale – The SIA AppChallenge is a leading digital innovation challenge for aviation and travel organised by SIA Digital Innovation Lab, KrisLab. It provides an opportunity for startups and scale-ups at the forefront of innovation to partner with the world’s leading airline and be part of the driving force in redefining the way we travel and fly. Nordic Innovation House Singapore attended the grand finale as one of the Community Partners and heard amazing pitches from 12 shortlisted finalists (out of 450 startups from 55 countries) to solve pressing issues in the aviation industry under the four themes: Seamless Customer Experience, Beyond Travel, People & Operations and Wild Cards. The top three most voted startup winners were announced and awarded up to 300,000 KrisFlyer miles.

Cybersecurity Industry Call for Innovation (CyberCall) 2022 | Apply by November 30th, 2022 CyberCall 2022 is an initiative by the Cyber Security Agency of Singapore, powered by NUS Enterprise and TNB Ventures, supported by Innovation Cybersecurity Ecosystem at BLOCK71 (ICE71). This year, there are seven challenge statements from six end-users including the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation, Home Team Science & Technology Agency, Mediacorp, PacificLight Power, SMRT Corporation and SP Group, seeking cutting-edge and scalable cybersecurity solutions to address cybersecurity concerns in their sectors.

MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific 2023 Program | Apply by January 31st, 2023 – Attention to all early- to mid-stage medical device, diagnostic, or digital health companies seeking to enter the APAC market! In 2023, MedTech Innovator Asia Pacific will be selecting 20 best-in-class startups to join the annual program that provides high-profile visibility to healthcare investors, stakeholders, and decision-makers, access to a network of mentors and peers, and participation in a customised virtual curriculum.

 The shortlisted startups will also receive mentorship and coaching through one-on-one matching with one or more mentors from corporate partners to help with commercialisation throughout Asia Pacific.
