Healthcare Hackathon Bavaria

The Healthcare Hackathon Bavaria (November 24-26th 2024) is a dynamic event aimed at fostering innovation in healthcare . Organized by Medical Valley EMN e. V. , it brings together a diverse group of participants—ranging from healthcare professionals to tech experts—who collaborate on creating digital health solutions. Participants will work in interdisciplinary teams and present their solutions to a panel of judges, with prizes awarded for the best ideas.

We welcome our new USA - MATTER Chicago Healthcare Ecosystem! Read the interview with its ecosystem coordinator

ECHAlliance welcomes the MATTER Chicago Healthcare Ecosystem as its fourth U.S.-based ecosystem. Introducing our new ecosystem: USA – GlobalSTL Healthcare Innovation Ecosystem! A chat with the Ecosystem Coordinator

ECHAlliance has introduced the GlobalSTL Healthcare Innovation Ecosystem from St. Louis, Missouri, as a new addition to its global network. The ecosystem focuses on bioscience and healthcare, with key stakeholders including large healthcare organizations and research institutions like Washington University. It aims to solve societal challenges in agriculture and human health while expanding into the Midwest.

Kuopio Health’s newest member QUMEA revolutionizes healthcare with radar technology

QUMEA a new member of Kuopio Health , has developed a radar-based patient monitoring system that enhances healthcare safety without using cameras or wearables. The AI-powered technology automatically detects patient movements and potential falls, achieving a 70% success rate in fall prevention. The system is particularly effective for elderly care and patients with cognitive impairments, as it requires no patient interaction while maintaining privacy compliance. Currently used in healthcare institutions, QUMEA is exploring expanded applications in psychiatry, sleep analysis, and home care environments.

ECO-SD: Building a Shared Vision for Digital Health Innovation in Chile

ECO-SD, a Chilean healthcare initiative, partnered with 150 organizations in a three-month co-creation process to advance digital health innovation. Led by CENS - Centro Nacional en Sistemas de Información en Salud under Mair Caro Cohen , the project aims to build a more efficient and adaptable healthcare system through cross-sector collaboration. The initiative focuses on developing innovation opportunities across Chile, particularly in regions outside the capital, while supporting the validation and implementation of digital health solutions to benefit all citizens.

RIES 2024 - Hacia el futuro de la salud - 13-14 November

The #RIES24 Forum will take place on 13-14 November in Guitiriz, Lugo, Spain. The event, organized by the Galician Health Cluster ( Cluster Saúde de Galicia, CSG ), will focus on the future of healthcare, highlighting topics such as Personalized Medicine, Biomedicine, Hybrid Care, and Circular Health. It provides a platform for public-private collaboration, bringing together healthcare leaders to discuss innovations and foster partnerships. The event will feature interactive discussions, round tables, and networking opportunities.

Medical Valley Innovation Night 2024 – Startup Contest for Healthcare Innovations

The Medical Valley EMN e. V. Innovation Night 2024, set for November 26 in Nuremberg, offers healthcare startups a chance to pitch their innovations and win up to 20,000€ in services. The event connects startups with leading industry players, investors, and strategic partners from the healthcare sector, providing customized mentoring and coaching support. Interested startups must submit their pitch deck by November 3, 2024, to participate in this prestigious healthcare innovation platform.

MEDICA 2024: Panel on the European Health Data Space (EHDS)

Basque Trade & Investment / Agencia Vasca de Internacionalización and the Basque Health Cluster are hosting a panel discussion on the European Health Data Space (EHDS) at MEDICA - Leading International Trade Fair , featuring experts from various institutions. The event will explore how EHDS aims to improve health data interoperability across Europe, focusing on healthcare provision, research, and policymaking through a panel of specialists including experts from Tecnalia, Medizin Informatik Initiative, and Freie Universität Berlin.
