A One-Minute Mindshift During Work
Feeling overwhelmed during work? Here’s a quick and easy brain hack to use when things start to feel chaotic: The 4-7-8 Breathing Technique.
This scientifically backed breathing exercise involves inhaling for 4 seconds, holding the breath for 7 seconds, and exhaling for 8 seconds. It’s a powerful way to calm your nervous system in just 60 seconds.
By slowing down your breath, you activate the parasympathetic nervous system—bringing your body back to a state of calm. It’s a quick and effective way to regain control, reduce stress, and stay focused.
When to do it: Use this technique anytime during work when stress builds up. It’s great between tasks or meetings!
