The One Thing All Successful Business People Do...

The One Thing All Successful Business People Do...

... And I need your help to do it, too.

I love learning about the routines, rituals and activities of successful businessmen and women.

  • Do they rise early or burn the midnight oil?
  • Commit to 8 hours of sleep or only ever power nap?
  • Live a monastic, structured life, or move where their creative mind takes them?

The routes people take to achieve success as are varied as the businesses they run.

And I’ve found there’s no right or wrong way on the entrepreneurial journey.

However, there is one thing that all the people who inspire me have in common.

Lifelong Learning.

They never, ever think they know it all, and they make sure to calve time out of their day to learn, grow & expand their mind.

We’ve been so busy with the business recently, I’ve barely had time to come up for air. Yet, as promised in a previous newsletter, because of our international business ventures, I’ve committed to improving my Spanish.

I’ve managed 50 days in a row now, and already see a massive improvement That’s something that can only help as we expand the business further into Europe.

And yes, I’m feeling pretty chuffed with myself.

There’s a weird snowball effect when it comes to learning something new. If you manage to get into a consistent routine, it becomes as natural as a coffee in the morning. As you get better a little bit each day, your confidence grows. And as your confidence grows, it becomes more fun. So, what started as a bit of a chore, quickly becomes an enjoyable (and necessary) part of your day.

If you can commit to learning something new every day, there’s also the added bonus that it trains your brain to be consistent, to keep working at something even when it’s tough, and keep working some more, even when no one is watching.

It’s not just about the skill you come out with at the end, it’s about the attitude and character it builds, that pays off tenfold when it comes to entrepreneurship.

My Spanish practice has become pretty natural now. I don’t have to psyche myself up or force myself to do it. And so, I’m getting ready to add a little more education to my daily routine.

And I’m looking for recommendations as to how to expand my mind further, next.

My next read is going to be Zero to One: Notes on Startups, or How to Build the Future, by Peter Thiel & Blake Masters, and I can’t wait for our next Wealth Accelerator Circle ⭕️ networking event. I’ve learned so much from the past speakers at our events already & I know June’s guest speaker won’t disappoint.

But I’d love to hear from my wonderful network on here.

  • Has a book inspired you lately?
  • Listened to a podcast that’s blown your mind?
  • Been to a talk that you’re desperate to shout about?

Let me know, and let me know what you think. Do you agree, or do you think there’s something more important that all successful business people do?
