Open Now: 2025 Circular Coalition Cohorts

Today’s newsletter is about Untangling Circularity’s 2025 podcast seasons and cohort offerings. (We are almost done with our website which will be a dream!) If you’re new to this newsletter, a quick recap:

My friend Laura Novich and I co-host Untangling Circularity (a podcast about all things circular economy with a frequent focus on apparel and textiles). Noticing a lack of circular economy community spaces, we launched a membership group that runs in parallel to each of our podcast seasons where we meet weekly to expand our networks, learn from each other and discuss the topic of that week’s podcast episode. Each season and membership cohort typically lasts 8 weeks and is a 1 hour/week commitment. Now you’re caught up!

Laura and I have truly appreciated the support and community created from our first two membership cohorts: The Journey of What We Wear (40 orgs + individuals joined) and Practical Circularity (50 orgs and individuals joined!). We both learned so much from the members, and we were excited to hear from many of you that the community was meaningful as well. We have ideas for continuing to improve our cohorts, including creating a sharable insights report that can spur action related to each cohort's theme. The report will feature and summarize key insights, questions and learnings from the participants, (hopefully YOU).

We want to keep doing this work, so we planned the Untangling Circularity podcast seasons and coalition offerings for 2025.

We are ready to launch the sign up for our next two cohorts:

  1. Diverse Partnerships for Success: Weekly 1-hour meetings Wednesdays, January 15 - March 15, 2025. This cohort will focus on successful, unique, cross-sector partnerships and collaborations within the circular economy. Each session we will dive into specific examples across for-profit, nonprofit, academia, and government.
  2. Circular Textiles Deep Dive: Weekly 1-hour meetings Wednesdays, April 9 - May 28, 2025. This cohort will focus on circular materials including textiles, shoes, and accessories. Each session we will dive into specific examples around new circular materials and components, new offerings to the market, new strategies, etc. This apparel-focused cohort will also be valuable for those working with textiles for the built environment and other soft goods applications.

Each of these cohorts is $650 to join. We have a sliding scale for those who want to join but can’t afford the full amount, and we also do a discount for repeat and multiple signs ups. Our #1 priority with these cohorts is to create groups of curious and community-minded individuals who care about fostering a circular economy, so we are always open to people joining and paying whatever they are able to pay.
