Keep OpenCV Free Crowdfund Campaign Update
We have just 18 days left in our campaign to keep OpenCV free for everyone and we are at 10% of the goal. We know $500k is not a small thing to ask- but we're asking because it is what we need to not just pay the core developers who will produce OpenCV 5 but to ensure that we can do it the Open Source free-access way as we always have.
If we can't meet this goal, OpenCV will have to consider other means of funding, such as a commercial license. At OpenCV we believe in Open Source and free sharing of knowledge. So far 510 amazing community members have donated to raise $48,195 and while we are thankful to those donors the reality is we need much more. Here's how you can help the campaign, even if you can't afford to contribute financially:
We can't stress enough how important this campaign is to the future of OpenCV but to all open source computer vision and AI. We need to prove that open source, non-profit, organizations can operate without closing off our greatest innovations behind a pay wall. We hope you'll continue to help.

Watch to see the abandoned 3D Headset Phil worked on, hear stories from the PX4 Developer Summit, and hear why we think it's important to support OpenCV.
