ORCA Roundup February 2024

ORCA Roundup February 2024

It’s been an exciting start to the year at ORCA. Kicking off a few new partnerships, celebrating our first B Corp Birthday and welcoming a couple of new team members. A lot’s been going on, and we can’t wait to share it with you!

FRESH FROM THE STUDIO

ORCA partners with Toast Brewing

This month, we are thrilled to announce our partnership with Toast Brewing . Challenging the traditional brewing process by turning surplus bread into delicious, eco-friendly beer, Toast is on a mission to reduce food waste and carbon emissions. We’re proud to be working with them on their ongoing brand, marketing and campaign activities, championing sustainability and flavourful brews. Let’s Raise a Toast to that!

Mevalco - Fine Foods from Spain

We’ve teamed up with Mevalco Fine Foods , purveyors of the finest Spanish produce, bringing vibrant and authentic flavours of Spain to the UK. They’re the go-to folks for chefs and restaurants across the country - offering everything from mouth watering meats and seafood to divine cheeses, premium olive oils, tangy vinegars, organic honey, and a whole lot more. We’re giving them a full website refresh which celebrates their story and incredible array of produce.

Happy B Corp Birthday to us!

We're thrilled to mark our first birthday as a B Corp! We’ve been getting sentimental in the studio reflecting on our journey so far. After scrutinising our business, we have made fundamental changes to improve our processes and impact. We have got stuck into our community in new ways and bonded as a team. We’re pushing forward creating a wave of positive influence with every project.

Inspiration from Cape Town

Our Account Manager Rosie Godwin just got back from her trip to South Africa! “Across the city and around each corner, Cape Town has a rich and colourful history to discover. The vibrant art scene paints an expansive picture of the city’s complex cultural history from ancient rock art to colonial architecture and nostalgic signage.” Here’s a few snaps taken from Rosie’s wanders through the Western Cape.

B Corp Spotlight: Berghaus

Our senior designer Max Harding has picked his favourite B Corp this month - Berghaus! “Like a number of outdoor apparel brands Berghaus has bridged the gap between function and fashion and created a brand loved by generations. They’ve continued to create good quality durable clothing intended to last a lifetime. They also offer a repair service called ‘Repairhaus’ (I’d love to have been in that naming session) which will repair your Berghaus gear for free (even if it’s from 1966) creating a more environmentally positive choice for the customer.”

Bristol Lights Festival

It’s been a dark and rainy start to the year, but the Bristol Light Festival has brought colour, light and play to the city centre. A few of the team went out to experience the series of commissions from local and internationally renowned artists.
