Our Influencer Journey...
Looking back at my previous blogs, it is that time of the year where I feel more comfortable to share and reflect my thoughts again.
This year has been very different for us. Especially since our first lock down last year, our business has evolved, developed and grown so much. We have really created something that we never really envisioned at the start, even though it is bringing us closer to our goals each day. The more knowledge and understanding we gain from our Influencer journey, the better we are designing our business to suit.
Lockdown has given us a chance to really push our ideas which turned out to have been a bit ahead of its time. Now that the world has caught up with the importance of online persuaion and influence, we are so happy and excited to finally start feeling like our business concept is taking off.
Edward has been developing his business for over a decade, starting with low ticket and group Coaching along with an online course which didn't really take off at the start. The right applications were not available back then, and it cost a lot of time and money to set up an online course back then. So we had to move to a higher ticket Coaching model.
With high ticket Coaching services, it was hard to be conssistent with marketing. So clients came in waves, we would have a lot of clients sign up, and be really busy and have no time to do marketing. Next thing we knew, everyone would finish up at the same time and the vicious cycle would repeat itself again.
So we started hosting regular local networking events and weekly webinars, collaborating with Business Chambers. Investing a lot of time and effort in giving away a lot of value, even though our online program started to get bites, it was very volatile. We knew we had to gain recogition somehow to boost our reputation.
And as we all know, Edward is not a guy who would give up. Every time we lost a sponsor, we gained a new and better one, our fan base grew, and better quality people joined our community. And at the same time, we were always working on building our Persuaion and Influence on Social Media.
As we had started our Linkedin Influencer journey a year beforehand, we launched our first meetup in Melbourne just before Lockdown hit. Then we had to come up with a new way for our community to network and communicate. We started weekly networking zooms amidst all the chaos with two young children at home. Edward made a point to me at the beginning of lockdown that it was time to go hard.
He said that if we made it through the other side, our business would do better than ever. And he was so right! Many of our clients today would agree with that too. This happens a lot with his ideas and teachings. That is because Edward has a lot of past experience in business and he is always willing to try and test his own theories before passing it on as his teachings.
So what now? His latest thoughts has been; if we can keep this up, we'll soon get to where we need to be...so watch this space!
