The UAD spindle head utilizes a double Hirth coupling design for greater rigidity. This design offers 0.02 degree indexing, or over 320 million positions with 20 tons of clamping force. With up to 6,000 RPMs, the UAD head provides plenty of flexibility and rigidity to machine some of the toughest materials. If you want more speed, the UDX is designed with similar ideas, but faster for production of stamping dies or large molds in one set up.
