PADF Collaborates with the JCF’s National Police College of Jamaica (NPCJ) as it Revamps Its Teaching Curriculum
“We will persist until we have successfully reviewed and updated the Jamaica Constabulary Force’s National Police College’s Curriculum.” This was the sentiment expressed by members of the JCF who participated in a 4-day Task Group Approach Curriculum Writing Workshop, that was held at the Coral Springs Hotel in Trelawny, Jamaica.
As the NPCJ endeavors to provide a holistic educational programme to its students, from inception to specialization, the need to have a state of the art, up-to-date curriculum is crucial. This will enable the College to achieve international accreditation as well as to meet the educational needs of its recruits, police officers and other law enforcement professionals from Jamaica and the Caribbean Region.
The Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) is proud to have collaborated with the JCF on this activity and pledges to support the College to fulfill its ultimate vision of “institutionalizing responsive education and training programmes for public safety leaders and practitioners.”
