          "THE PAINTING"

CHAPTER 10

EXT. STREET OF THE PAINTING’S 
HOUSE – NIGHT

Sam (Jesse embodied) watches 
Olivia’s house opposite him 
and puts the key on your pocket. 
Artie is behind him again.

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
   (continuing)
Artie no... You can’t
go with me Artie.

Artie goes back to the door 
entrance of The Painting’s House. 
Now, Mrs. Ruby is behind 
Sam (Jesse embodied). She is with 
Marlow on the leash.

        MRS RUBY
Your dog is dead right? 

Sam (Jesse embodied) turns to 
Mrs. Ruby. Marlow smells the 
wall and after that, smells 
Sam (Jesse embodied). Marlow hides 
behind Mrs. Ruby’s legs.

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
Oh, yes, yes. Artie is
dead.

        MRS. RUBY
Do you use to talks with
dead dogs? I use to talk
with my deceased husband
at night. But dogs... I
never see.

Sam (Jesse embodied) bends down 
to strokes Marlow's fur, but 
Marlow is afraid and tries to 
get away from him. Ms. Ruby 
pulls Marlow back.

        MRS. RUBY
Marlow... What the hell!
Stops to dragging me.

Marlow stops. Sam (Jesse embodied) 
stands up.

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
I don't talk to dead dogs.
I was just remembering him. 
So... Mrs...?

        MRS. RUBY
Ruby Deelson.

        SAM
     (Jesse embodied)
Mrs. Ruby Deelson... I
gotta go now. Good night.

Sam (Jesse embodied) walks 
and Mrs. Ruby watches him.

        MRS. RUBY
Did you see Marlow? This
man. He’s suspicious to me.

INT. FRANK VOLTA’S BREWERY – 
BAR COUNTER – NIGHT - CONTINUES

Rob comes from the toilet and 
puts his apron again.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Why did you come back?

Rob takes the tray with a beer 
and smiles to Ted.

        ROB
Boss... I told you. She
is doing nothing.

Frankies Volta faces Rob.

        ROB
   (continuing)
She only stays there watching
herself at the mirror. She’s 
harmless.

Rob takes off the apron and 
comes back to the toilet. Frankie 
Volta puts the apron, takes the 
tray with a beer and walks toward 
the TABLE 2.

TABLES

Frankies Volta serves Josh 
(Billy embodied) that says 
something in MOS (Mit Out Sound) 
for him.

EXT. FRANKIE VOLTA’S BREWERY – 
SIDEWALK – NIGHT 

Sam (Jesse embodied) waits to 
crosses the corner. Artie is 
behind him.

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
Artie... No! Go home now.

Artie turns toward home and 
Sam (Jesse embodied) crosses 
the street.

INT.FRANKIE VOLTA’S BREWERY – 
BAR COUNTER – NIGHT - CONTINUES

Frankie Volta takes off his 
apron. Ted drinks the beer and 
Rob comes back from the toilet.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
I'll take a look at that woman 
in my toilet by myself.

Frankie Volta opens the bar 
counter’s door and bumps into a 
miniature plane that falls on the 
floor and brokes. He takes it 
carefully and puts it under 
the bar counter and EXITS.

TOILET 

Frankie Volta watches around and 
opens the women’s bathroom 
slowly with your foot.

WOMEN BATHROOM

It hasn't anybody there. Frankie 
Volta checks all the place and 
finds nothing. He turns and 
watches himself at the mirror 
for a moment. After that he 
EXITS there.

TOILET 

After that, he opens the men’s 
bathroom with your foot.

MEN BATHROOM 

Frankie Volta checks all the 
place and finds nothing. He 
EXITS there.

BAR COUNTER

Rob comes close to Ted, smiles 
to him and puts the hand on Ted’s 
SHOULDER and Ted watches Rob’s 
hand. Frankie Volta comes back, 
puts his apron, opens the bar 
counter’s door and ENTERS. He 
serves a drink for himself.

        FRANKIES VOLTA
She’s vanish.

        ROB
She’s not vanish Boss.
There is no way out of
here by the bathroom.

Frankie Volta faces Rob.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
I know. The windows are locked.

        ROB
Maybe she passed us by and
we didn't see her.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
No. It’s not possible. 
She would pass by me first.

Rob turns to Frankie Volta that 
gets his miniature planes under 
the bar counter. He gets one of 
them and exames it very close.

        ROB
So, we found a female houdini.

Frankie Volta faces Rob again.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Stop joking, Rob.

Frankie Volta turns to Ted.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
   (continuing)
Did you see her passing
here, Ted?

        TED
   (stuttering)
No. I didn’t see her.

Frankie Volta takes the phone 
that is near the bottles.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
I’ll call to the police.

Rob blocks Frankie Volta.

        ROB
No. Don’t do that, Boss.
Let me check there again.

Frankie Volta hangs up the 
phone and Rob takes off his 
apron and walks toward the 
toilet.

EXT. FRANKIE VOLTA’S BREWERY – 
DOOR ENTRANCE - NIGHT

From the distance, Artie watches 
Sam (Jesse embodied) that ENTERS 
in the Brewery.

INT. FRANKIE VOLTA’S BREWERY – 
BAR COUNTER - NIGHT

Sam (Jesse embodied) sits at 
the bar stool next to Ted.

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
How you doing, Ted.

Ted turns to Sam (Jesse embodied) 
and watches him for a while.

        TED
   (stuttering)
I’m okay. How is your
wife?

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
Oh, yes. My wife. She’s
okay.

Frankie Volta serves a beer to 
Sam (Jesse embodied). Rob comes 
back from the toilet and puts 
his apron.

        ROB
Boss... She’s in there,
watching herself at the
mirror.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Are you kidding me? I’m not 
crazy. She wasn’t there.

Sam (Jesse embodied) turns to 
Frankie Volta.

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
It’s not my business, but 
who’s the woman?

        FRANKIE VOLTA
The same mysterious woman 
of that night.

INT. THE PAINTING’S HOUSE – 
LIVING ROOM - CONTINUES

Sophia turns off the TV, stands 
up and walks toward the master 
bedroom.

MASTER BEDROOM

Sophia takes her bags from the 
closet and puts it near the bed. 
She gets the new clothes from the 
bags and puts it on the bed. 
Sophia watches it for a while.

NOTE: We can observes that it’s 
ANGELA DAVIS clothes in her 
twenties.

INT. FRANKIE VOLTA’S BREWERY – 
BAR COUNTER – NIGHT - CONTINUES

Josh (Billy embodied) stands up 
from the TABLE 2 comes close and 
turns to Frankie Volta.

        JOSH
   (Billy embodied)
   (drunk)
Hey, Pilot... Do the little 
planes still blows your mind?

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Billy?

Ted and Sam (Jesse embodied) 
watches Josh (Billy embodied).

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
   (continuing)
Billy... Is it you?

Rob turns to Sam (Jesse embodied).

        ROB
Did you know Billy? He’s
dead. I told you that he died 
in a car crash more than 
two years ago. My boss always do
that, when someone calls
him Pilot. I told him that 
it’s a coincidence.

Josh (Billy embodied) hits on 
the bar counter.

        JOSH
   (Billy embodied)
Shut of fuck you mouth maricón. 
Give me another beer, pilot.

Rob comes close Josh (Billy embodied) 
and faces him. Josh (Billy embodied) 
prepares his hands to fight with Rob 
that is ready to fight with him too.

        ROB
I told you... Don’t call 
me Maricón.

Sam (Jesse embodied) stands 
up and blocks Rob.

        JOSH
   (Billy embodied)
You'll do what... Hit me
with your ass?

Josh (Billy embodied) pushes 
Sam (Jesse embodied). Artie comes 
and bits Josh (Billy embodied) 
on his legs violently and 
Josh (Billy embodied) THROWS OUT 
Artie. Sam (Jesse embodied) PUNCHES 
Josh (Billy embodied) in the face 
and he falls to the floor. 
Sam (Jesse embodied) sits again 
on the bar stool.

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
Don't mess with my dog, 
asshole!

Sam (Jesse embodied) 
turns to Artie.

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
It’s time to go home,
Artie. And Sam, have
to go home too, because
Sophia is waiting for
him.

        TED
   (stuttering)
But your dog died at 
my clinic.

Sam (Jesse embodied) turns to 
Ted and Frankie Volta serves a 
drink for himself. Josh 
(not embodied and confused) 
stands up and EXITS from 
the brewery.

        SAM
   (Jesse embodied)
Ted... It’s a complicated 
story that I’ll tell you
in another time.

Sam (Jesse embodied) stands up 
from the bar stool, pays the 
beers and walks toward to the 
DOOR ENTRANCE. He stops for a 
while and we can observes his 
back. After that, Sam (not embodied) 
EXITS. Rob gets the tray with 
some beers and walks toward the 
tables to serves the customers.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
   (praying)
Oh Lord... Please protect my 
brewery from any evil spirits 
and also the mysterious woman 
in my toilet.

Ted now (Billy embodied) drinks 
a beer and spits it out on the 
floor.

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
What fuck is that non-alcoholic 
beer. Pilot, give me a heavy 
drink.

Frankie Volta raises his hands 
and watches the ceiling.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Thank you.

INT.THE PAINTING’S HOUSE – 
MASTER BEDROOM – NIGHT - CONTINUES

Sophia dress up as Angela Davis 
clothes and watches herself at 
the mirror. 

EXT. STREET OF THE PAINTING’S 
HOUSE – SIDEWALK – NIGHT

Sam waits the traffic light to 
crosses the corner. He turns and 
watches around for a moment. Artie 
is behind him, but Sam can’t realize 
Artie. The traffic light opens 
and Sam walks.

INT.FRANKIE VOLTA’S BREWERY – 
BAR COUNTER – NIGHT - CONTINUES

Frankie Volta serves a whiskey for 
Ted (Billy embodied) and watches 
him for a while.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
   (afraid)
Billy... Is it you?

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
Are you afraid of me, Pilot?

Ted (Billy embodied) drinks 
the whiskey very fast and 
stares Frankie Volta.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Yes I am. It’s because 
you are dead.

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
I’m not dead. I’m here
drinking a whiskey on
your brewery.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
No, Billy. You are dead.
You’re here because you
already use Ted’s body.

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
I don’t care about that
asshole stutterer.

Rob comes from the TABLES and 
puts the tray on the bar conter. 
Frankie Volta turns to Rob.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Rob... Take a look at that 
woman on the toilet again.

Rob smiles to Ted (Billy embodied), 
takes of his apron, turns his body, 
takes two steps and stops. For a 
while, we can observes Rob’s back.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Rob... Stops joking and watches 
her woman for me.

Rob now (Jesse embodied) turns back, 
watches Frankie Volta and after that 
watches Ted (Billy embodied). 
Rob (Jesse embodied) watches himself, 
puts his hands on his tight pants 
and waves his head negatively.

        ROB
   (Jesse embodied)
Okay Frankie. I’ll check
it out for you.

TOILET 

Rob (Jesse embodied) watches 
around and opens the women’s 
bathroom.

BAR COUNTER 

Ted (Billy embodied) turns to 
Frankie Volta.

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
Another.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
What do you mean by another?

Ted (Billy embodied) turns and 
points toward the toilet.

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
Another like me.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Do you mean that my bouncer 
is also possessed?

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
Yeah. That guy who was here too.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
Jazz...? I was talking with a ghost?

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
Not exactly. You were talking 
to the same guy that is on your 
toilet right now.

Frankie Volta scares.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
He embodied Rob? Why?

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
That is the question.
He's lost like me. So,
we gets people's body,
to search exits that are
not find. I prefer chaos.

Ted (Billy embodied) turns the 
bar stool and watches the TABLES 
with the customers. Frankie Volta 
watches the TABLES too. A MAN#3 
watches Frankies Volta that opens 
the drawer, gets a crucifix 
and presses it.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
   (scared)
What about that woman on
my toilet?

        TED
   (Billy embodied)
I don't know nothing about her. 
But I suspect that she is here 
because of us.

TOILET 

Rob (Jesse embodied) ENTERS to 
the women bathroom.

WOMEN BATHROOM

He checks the toilets and find 
nothing. After that, he EXITS. 

TOILET

Rob (Jesse embodied) goes to the 
men bathroom and ENTERS.

MEN BATHROOM

He checks all there too and finds 
nothing. He EXITS.

TOILET

After that, Desdemona EXITS from 
the women bathroom and walks 
toward the bar counter.

        ROB
   (Jesse embodied)
Hey, you. Today I'll catch you. 
I wanna know who you are.

BAR COUNTER 

Desdemona walks very fast to 
the DOOR ENTRANCE and go away. 
Rob (Jesse embodied) follows her.

        FRANKIE VOLTA
   (beat)
Rob? Where do you go?

ROB
   (Jesse embodied)
Don’t worry Frankie. He’ll
be back.
