Pivot with Purpose: Embrace the Uncomfortable
This week, I'm thrilled to share that we've reached a pivotal milestone, with over 1,000 active Skillbridgers now part of our dynamic community. This is no small feat—it's a powerful testament to our unwavering commitment and the solid strength of our collective mission. Each individual in this growing group isn't just a number; they are the heart and soul of our community, each bringing their unique experiences and dreams to the table. As your CEO, I'm deeply honored to witness and be a part of this remarkable journey. Let's continue to grow, support, and empower each other, as each new member enriches and strengthens the fabric of our community.
We're also thrilled to announce the launch of our entrepreneurial group within the community. It’s a space where creativity meets collaboration, where ideas take flight. This group is more than just a network; it's a crucible for innovation and a launchpad for dreams.
A huge shoutout to Matt Lasher , A Leader Among Leaders. Matt exemplifies what Allegiant stands for – always ready to support, inspire, and lead by example. His contributions have uplifted our community and set a high bar for leadership. Thank you, Matt, for being a guiding force!
I remember back when I transitioned out of the Marine Corps, I knew the importance of a military community but didn't quite manage to keep one around. I had been wounded and separated from my unit, and I stepped into the civilian world somewhat alone, missing the camaraderie and support. However, I remembered the art of the pivot. I wasn’t afraid to tap into my old boot camp drill moves, make a few turns, and even “about face” when needed. It was about daring to be uncomfortable and embracing change.
What did I do? I started going to veteran networking events searching for that camaraderie element I longed for unfortunately I never found my “group.” I was too young in comparison and didn’t really want to wear a silly red hat to signify I was a part of something. I wasn’t sure where to turn, so I did what any good Marine would do... and said "F*** it, I’ll make my own!" That's when AllegiantVets 's mission was born.
Transition isn’t just about moving from point A to point B. It’s about daring to step into the unknown and pivot with purpose. Like a well-executed drill, every pivot can lead you closer to a clearer vision of what you want in life.

On my journey, I realized what was missing – the community. It's like losing your cadence caller during a drill movement. You might keep stepping, but the rhythm’s off. So, here’s my tip: don’t lose sight of the community. They are more than a support network; they can be your cadence when life's pivots leave you uncertain.
We're all about adapting and overcoming. It’s in our DNA. Rely on the AllegiantVETS community, draw from its strength, and let it guide you when your path seems hazy. Together, we can face unexpected turns and dance through the pivots of life.
As we step into the weekend, remember: your community is your compass, and your ability to adapt is your north star. Let's march forward with courage, laughter, and an unwavering spirit of togetherness.
Always By Your Side,
Marcus Haney
Congratulations on this incredible milestone! Welcoming the 1,000th active Skillbridger underscores the power of community and resilience. It’s inspiring to see how each individual’s journey contributes to our collective growth. Reflecting on our own transitions, the strength and support of a community truly make all the difference. How have others found their path to be influenced by the bonds they’ve formed along the way? Looking forward to seeing your insights.

1yI would second on the change aspect. It's quite difficult to go from a rank and a last name to your own person again. For some, it's incredibly difficult to find themselves after serving. AG has give me the opportunity for bandwidth to gain knowledge, experience, community, and most of all, how I want to be a human again now that I have actual choices I can leverage to best take care of myself and the family. Thank you AG, you ROCK!!!
