Plans and predictions for 2024

Plans and predictions for 2024

We’ve done it. January is in the bag, and we’re already working hard to achieve our 2024 goals.  But it wouldn’t be right to jump straight into a new year without taking a look back at our 2023 successes and learnings.

Let’s kick off with our Best Companies win! We’re proud to have been crowned the #1 best recruitment company to work for in 2023. Best Companies also awarded us the fourth best company to work for in the West Midlands, and the fourth best mid-sized company to work for in the UK!

Our team continued to grow, with 26 new recruits joining #TeamGlee in 2023. More heads means more growth in our divisions, with our Marketing and Digital division growing by 12.5% and HR by 16.6%. Our Executive Search function grew by almost 17%, and our Pharma Partners brand by 33%.

It's no secret that 2023 was a challenge for the sector, with factors such as the cost of living crisis and post-pandemic conditions creating a difficult market. But, despite the difficulties, we’ve continued to grow, provide an exceptional recruitment service, and support our people.

Talking of people, here’s an insight into what we got up to in 2023. Panel discussions on exciting topics, charity challenges, a new website launch and many an award ceremony kept the team busy last year. And we’ve no doubt that 2024 will be just as jam-packed!

So, what’s next for 2024?

Following a successful 2023, we’re keen to continue our impressive growth and keep adding to our talented team of recruitment consultants.

The recruitment industry is set to see a number of trends. The introduction of AI is arguably one of the most prominent developments, with Business Insider reporting that the introduction of AI could significantly accelerate the recruitment process. The report states that 67% of HR professionals see the value of using AI tools in the hiring process. Business Insider say that those surveyed think AI tools could speed up the recruitment process, while others worry it could result in unfair bias.

From AI, to market challenges, #TeamGlee have shared their insights for 2024, and predicted what they think is in store for the recruitment world.
