Prior to concentrating your efforts on riches, improve your financial knowledge. Financial literacy well equips you to manage your money, the riches you currently hope to gain in the near future. You can only win in life if you want to. It's what you desire that will decide your thinking. Anyone you want to be was once a dreamer whom no one knew about. You will acquire what you desire if you keep your eyes on the prize. There are many distractions...

Be it for wealth or glory. If you put no value on what you want, you desire but in vain. There’s no trick to success, focus is. Focus is an iota of faith. With focus good result is sure to follow. Focus is everything.

Distractions divert our attention from our primary goal and cause us to lose sight of what we truly desire. What are you looking for? You will receive what you want if you make a demand on it with a strong desire from inside, and if that desire is backed up by a clear need for purpose.

In today’s article, let’s discuss five strategies to get you focused so you can achieve all your dreams faster than you ever thought possible:

The most important idea is to reduce or eliminate as many distractions as possible, beginning with simple things like moving to a quiet area, turning off notifications on your phone, and closing any door to your office.  You must also be keen on closing out non-essential programs or apps, playing calming ambient music or white noise, and decluttering the space where you will be working.

2. LOCK-DOWN ON SOCIAL MEDIA

Sometimes the fanciful and beautiful social media is a beast and a time-waster! If checking Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok every 5 minutes is your notion of a break from work, you should think about using social media blocking software.

You may also use these distraction-busting technologies to block online games, apps, and websites such as YouTube, Netflix, Amazon, Twitter, text messages, and even email. Use one of these popular social media blockers to stay focused: Freedom, AppBlock, FocusMe, and Focus.

3. ENSURE TO GET ENOUGH SLEEP

The majority of People are sleep deprived, and not getting enough sleep can have a severe influence on both short and long-term memory. Adults aged 18 to 60 should get at least 7 hours of sleep every night, while elderly people may require up to 9 hours.

SMART is an acronym that stands for Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, Timely, and Relevant. You may enhance your capacity to concentrate and focus on certain activities by breaking the job down into smaller portions and setting goals that you believe you can achieve.

SUGGESTION FROM HARVARD MEDICAL SCHOOL

According to its October 2020 publication, The Harvard Health Publishing in collaboration with Harvard Medical School suggested tips that will improve concentration, saying mindfulness, cognition training, and a healthy lifestyle may help improve your focus.

Computerized cognitive training games are intended to enhance response times and attention; however, research is conflicting. The purpose of playing these games is not to improve at them, but to improve in ordinary cognitive activity.

There is evidence that progressively pushing a person to greater levels of performance might increase a person's capacity to pay attention, which may apply to everyday life.

A HEALTHY LIFESTYLE:

A healthy lifestyle, beginning with sleep and exercise, can aid with concentration. Exercise releases chemicals in the brain that create new brain connections, lower stress, and enhance sleep. We sleep to lower stress hormones that can be detrimental to the brain and to clean away proteins that can hurt it.

"You're trying to concentrate, but your mind wanders or you're easily distracted," says Dr. Kirk Daffner, a neurologist and head of the Center for Brain/Mind Health at Harvard-affiliated Brigham and Women's Hospital. What happened to the razor-sharp focus you used to have?" Elderly folks have a harder time filtering out stimuli that are irrelevant to the work at hand."

Get focused!
