The Power Of Long Headlines vs. Short Headlines.

There is considerable debate about this. It is an area where master-marketer Ted Nicholas and I differ greatly; he insisting on short headlines; my experience indicating that long, wordy headlines often work best.

My bottom-line is that the idea is more important than 'form' or even any rules.

One of the best short headlines I've ever written is:

Stocks Suck.

But, more often than not, I personally succeed with inordinately long headlines.
