PRAY WITH ALL THE POWER OF OUR HEARTS : TEACHINGS OF GREAT ACHARYAS : THOUGHT FOR THE DAY

Prayers are not the recent innovations or inventions. The origin and methods of prayers does exist for many yugas. Sruthi, smruthi, puranaas suggest prayers are one of the best ways to receive effective blessings from the Divine Power.

We should pray with all the power of our will and heart and soul. Thus God is to be invoked, with all the power. One may ask, if we use but one millionth of the power of the heart, how should your prayer ever be successful? All religions say the same that we should pray and meditate and repeat all mantras / sthothras with all our soul and heart and will, with absolute sincerity and intensity. Ultimately, the heart of our longing for the Divine, the heat and fire of our devotion, of our longing for God-experience should become effective.

There are two kinds of calling: One can put all the power into loud calling on the Divine, or one can also intensively call inside, very loudly, without moving the lips. But this way is not so easy at a place where there is outer noise, but rather in solitude and silence. If there are people around making noises, it is better to repeat loudly, which again is possible in an ashram-like atmosphere. One should therefore practise both, according to circumstances, intensively cry for the Divine for help inside and outside and secure peace, progress and prosperity.
