Praying for Non-Christians
People are unable to save themselves. We are unable to save them. God alone is able to save humanity. God is willing to save us! 2 Peter 3:9 tells us that, "The Lord does not delay [as though He were unable to act] and is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is [extraordinarily] patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance."
As those who have accepted Jesus, we should be aware of the Great Commission [Matthew 28:16-20] and commit to be part of God's redemption story. As we witness and evangelize, we need to also pray for those who haven't acknowledged Jesus as Lord yet.
Then Agrippa said to Paul, "Do you think in such a short time you can persuade me to be a Christian?"
Paul replied, "Whether short or long-- I pray to God that not only you but all who are listening to me today may become what I am, except for these chains.” Acts 26:28-29
What do we pray for non-believers?
God would draw them to Himself- Jesus said, "For no one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them to me, and at the last day I will raise them up." John 6:44
They would realize their need for God and seek Him- "His purpose was for the nations to seek after God and perhaps feel their way toward him and find him—though he is not far from any one of us." Acts 17:27
God would send someone to share the Gospel- "He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” Matthew 9:37-38
The Holy Spirit would inwardly convict them- "And when he comes, he will convict the world of its sin, and of God’s righteousness, and of the coming judgment." John 16:8
Satan would not be allowed to blind their minds- "Satan, who is the god of this world, has blinded the minds of those who don’t believe. They are unable to see the glorious light of the Good News. They don’t understand this message about the glory of Christ, who is the exact likeness of God." 2 Corinthians 4:4

They would understand and believe the Scriptures- "Therefore, we never stop thanking God that when you received his message from us, you didn’t think of our words as mere human ideas. You accepted what we said as the very word of God—which, of course, it is. And this word continues to work in you who believe." 1 Thessalonians 2:13
They would turn from sin and turn to God- "Now repent of your sins and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped away." Acts 3:19
They would believe in Jesus Christ as Saviour and Lord- "But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God." John 1:12
They would yield all and follow Jesus Christ- "He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them." 2 Corinthians 5:15
They would take root and grow in Christ- "And now, just as you accepted Christ Jesus as your Lord, you must continue to follow him. Let your roots grow down into him, and let your lives be built on him. Then your faith will grow strong in the truth you were taught, and you will overflow with thankfulness." Colossians 2:6-7
Write down a list of names of everyone who needs to believe and start praying over their lives often. When the opportunity presents itself, share the love of God with them and trust that God will do His work.
