AI and Authenticity: Creating Content that Connects in a Digital Age | #82: Jérémy Grandillon

Jérémy Grandillon is a sales and AI specialist who transformed his career trajectory from heading Sales and Marketing at a software company to founding his own sales agency, TC9. After years of learning, overcoming fear, and building an impressive online presence, he decided to take a leap into entrepreneurship, fuelled by his passion for helping others succeed in sales. Now, he empowers businesses to scale using AI-driven strategies, sharing valuable insights on leveraging technology for greater efficiency and success.

In this episode, Jérémy dives into his journey from humble beginnings to becoming a prominent voice in AI and sales. Expect a mix of inspiration and practical advice on following entrepreneurial dreams, along with Jérémy’s unique perspectives on French culture, directly from a Frenchman himself.

TC9:

Behind the scenes:

I remember starting out on LinkedIn, and believe it or not, Jérémy was one of the “OGs” that I recall. What I mean is that he was, and still is, a big creator—a.k.a. an established authority with a large following, great online presence, and so on. I wasn’t much into AI back then, but he was still someone worth learning from. Some time later, I reached out, and we made it happen! And guess what? He’s such a nice guy—humble, inspiring, and fun to talk to. I really enjoyed this one.

I hope this episode doesn’t upset any Frenchman, as we did discuss them and their beautiful country. Plot twist: Jérémy is French himself, so he could take it in good humour! Although, they might not like him as much now—just kidding. We praised the cuisine and much more. On top of that, expect an inspiring journey from corporate life to his own AI venture and, of course, his LinkedIn presence. We had a lot of fun, and although we hadn’t interacted much before, I truly enjoyed it. And I promise, no French person was offended!

Hack of the Week:

Finding time for creative tasks can be challenging, especially when distractions and competing responsibilities fill our day. But with time blocking, you can create space in your schedule specifically for deep, focused, and creative work. This simple method allows you to set aside dedicated time slots for different tasks, reducing interruptions and enhancing productivity in a structured yet flexible way.

Benefits of Time Blocking for Creativity:

  • Enhanced Focus: Time blocking helps you focus on one task at a time, allowing you to engage deeply with creative work. By setting clear boundaries, you can avoid multitasking and fully immerse yourself in the project, leading to more thoughtful, innovative ideas.
  • Reduced Decision Fatigue: With a set plan for each task, you’ll spend less time deciding what to work on next. This reduces the mental drain from constantly switching tasks and leaves more energy for creative thinking.
  • Increased Productivity: Time blocking helps you prioritise and allocate time for high-value tasks. By dedicating specific slots for creative projects, you’ll make consistent progress without losing momentum or feeling rushed.
  • Better Balance Between Creative and Routine Tasks: Separating creative work from routine tasks with time blocks ensures that neither type of task gets overlooked. This structured approach allows you to keep up with essential duties while still having time to brainstorm, design, write, or create without distraction.

Time Blocking in Action

Strategies for Maximising Creativity with Time Blocking:

  • Define Your Creative Hours: Identify when you feel most creative and energetic—whether it’s early morning or late afternoon. Schedule your time blocks during these peak hours to take full advantage of your natural productivity rhythms.
  • Set Boundaries for Uninterrupted Work: Protect your time blocks by setting boundaries. This could mean silencing notifications, letting colleagues know you’re unavailable, or using a ‘Do Not Disturb’ sign to minimise interruptions.
  • Use Smaller Time Blocks for Inspiration Breaks: Incorporate shorter time blocks for activities that inspire you, like reading, sketching, or watching a quick tutorial. These breaks can keep your creativity flowing and provide fresh ideas for your main projects.
  • Create Flexible Blocks for Spontaneous Ideas: Leave some unplanned time in your schedule. This flexibility allows you to pursue spontaneous creative ideas when they arise, without derailing your progress on other tasks.
  • Review and Adjust Regularly: At the end of each week, reflect on how well time blocking worked for your creative tasks. Adjust the duration and timing of your blocks as needed to better suit your workflow.

By incorporating time blocking into your routine, you can create an environment where creativity thrives, free from constant interruptions. Embrace this structured approach to unlock a deeper level of focus, reduce stress, and experience a consistent boost in productivity. Give time blocking a try to help you balance creativity with your other priorities!

Have tried time blocking a few times and has worked wonders. But somehow I need to be more disciplined in blocking time. I still think I'm good at multi-tasking but that gets me nowhere 😂 Nice article Tomas!

Many get overwhelmed by the technical side and miss out on the real benefits. One way I've seen AI work well is in content repurposing – taking one piece of content and turning it into several different formats for LinkedIn, saving time and maximizing reach. Tomas Loucky
