Here are some of my favorite episodes of 2024 and what they taught me. I hope you’ll be just as inspired as I was.
As always, I would love to hear from you in the comments. What was your favorite episode of 2024? What would you like to see in the upcoming year?
One more month left of the year. I hope you’ll make it a good one.

Science of Motivation with Ayelet Fishbach – March 15, 2024
How often have you said: “I’ve lost my motivation”? As professor of behavioral science and motivation expert Ayelet Fishbach explains in this episode, this common expression is a fallacy. Motivation is not willpower or a form of energy that can be depleted and recharged, she says. “It is knowledge”. That means that motivation can be learned, and it can be instilled in others. In this episode, we turn to science to find out what it really takes to motivate yourself and others.

What to Say When You Disagree with Karin Hurt & David Dye – May 10, 2024
If there is one thing I have learned in over 30 years of coaching, it is this: everything that happens in business happens in conversations. If you cannot communicate effectively and nurture strong relationships, you will not have the influence you want to have. A major part of that is your ability to manage conflict.
What do you say when there is disagreement? How do you stand up for yourself and your opinions without offending the other party? How do you say “No”? Karin Hurt and David Dye have actionable advice and powerful phrases to use in situations of conflict.

The Power of Instinct with Leslie Zane – Oct. 18, 2024
You may think your life is largely based on rational decisions. We know from neuroscience that it is not. In fact, we make about 95 percent of our decisions based on instinct. This is true for things as simple as deciding between two laundry detergents in the supermarket or picking a place to eat dinner. But it is also true for hiring decisions, trust between business partners, being persuasive, and convincing others to believe what you think is right. People will decide whether to follow you based on their “gut feeling”, which is made up of what they already know about you – your personal brand if you will.
In this podcast, award-winning marketer Leslie Zane spills the secrets on how to harness the instinctive mind to increase your impact and influence. Learn how to become more persuasive by comparing your own story to some of the most famous brands you know and make use of the power of instinct in this podcast. In this podcast, award-winning marketer Leslie Zane spills the secrets on how to harness the instinctive mind to increase your impact and influence.
