Nearly 13 years ago I started a virtual conference. It came out of my own complaints from attending face-to-face conferences. So the solution was: Do a conference the way you want to do it. Duh! That was the beginning of Transforming the Teaching & Learning Environment virtual conference. No concurrent sessions. We select the sessions to get the ones that best fit our theme. The sessions are live-captioned. All the sessions are recorded for later viewing. Over the course of ten weekdays there are 60 sessions. Six each day.
Starting on February 1, 2021 will be the 13th edition of Transforming the Teaching & Learning Environment. All the sessions will be live via Zoom. There'll be six sessions each weekday through Friday, February 12th. We're currently finalizing the schedule, with about half of the sessions scheduled.
One other thing. The cost is absurdly low. (I want people to attend and participate.)
