Repair Reimagine Recycle
I have recently attended a digital conference where I have been asked the following question: "In todays world Brands are more and more communicating on values, and engaging with powerful stories, but in the end the Business has to deliver numbers and growth and meet targets, how do you balance these 2 aspects?"
In reality I believe that there should not be any contradiction. Rather than writing a long post to support my point of view I would like to share a live example of how purpose, values and business can come together. It is something that makes me proud of the Company I work for and of the colleagues who made it happen (#Richard Hurren, #Jason Kyriacou, #Maria Herrera, #Rachelle McDevitt, #MichellePini to name only a few). Sustainability, fashion, experience can be put together in one sentence or better in one space. Hope you will find it inspiring as well.
Last Monday (October 5th) we opened the doors of the Levi's® Haus in London, a brand new concept space in the heart of Soho. Here, we will be bringing together Levi’s Vintage Clothing, Lot No. 1 and a whole new product idea we are trialing aimed at reducing our waste called Levi’s by Levi’s.
Offering Repair: giving our denim a second life. Expert in-house tailors repair broken zips, ripped knees and missing buttons and customize product adding a stylish reminder that your Levi’s® only get better with age.
Reimagine: We are partnering with Indigowares to transform our iconic products into something truly one-of-a-kind. Using organic indigo dye, Indigowares bring dip-dying and Shibori techniques to create unique designs on our denim.
Can’t repair or reimagine? We’re Recycling our denim in collaboration with Working Well Trust, a London based charity supporting people affected by mental health issues to create accessories. Hand-crafted, no two items are the same.
