Resilience - the main asset for everybody during poly crisis
How do we, as individuals and teams, develop Resilience?
Resilience is the ability to recover from difficulties. It is an important personal skill set that we all need in order to adapt to change and thrive in a fast-paced world. Resilience is also crucial for #teams, #organizations and #leaders who want to be successful in a changing world.
How can we be equipped with the necessary skills to adapt and thrive?
What is Resilience?
● Resilience is the ability to adapt and cope with change. It helps us react to adversity and recover quickly.
● How do we, as individuals and teams, develop Resilience? How can we be equipped with the necessary skills to adapt and thrive?
● There are two ways of developing Resilience:
a) Emotional Intelligence (EI). EI develops your ability to understand your own #emotions - what you feel when you're angry, sad or stressed - as well as understanding other people's feelings; it also helps us regulate our emotions so that they don't get out of control; this means that we can stay calm in stressful situations without panicking or getting too emotional about things that don't matter; finally, it means that we can make decisions based on facts rather than instinctive reactions which may not always be right.
Being emotionally intelligent equips us with several tools needed for dealing with uncertainty in a crisis situation: awareness about our own feelings helps remain calm even when faced with difficulties or #challenges; understanding how others think will make communication easier even if there isn't enough time for lengthy discussions before acting on something urgent; finally, being able to make decisions based on logic rather than emotions will help us avoid making rash decisions which could lead into doing something wrong because our mind was clouded by anger
What does Resilience mean in the context of New Work, future leadership or upskilling for change? How can we learn to be resilient?
Resilience is the ability to adapt to #change, bounce back after a crisis and learn from mistakes. It is the ability to be flexible in an ever-changing environment.
As future leaders of tomorrow, we need resilience because we will face multiple challenges and disruptions in our working lives. The world is changing rapidly with technology advancements that are dramatically altering how we live, work and play. To adapt successfully as leaders in this new paradigm requires resiliency skills such as problem solving, communication skills, learning agility etc.
Resilience can be learnt by studying your own behaviour patterns when you encounter difficulties or setbacks at work (or home). When things go wrong it’s easy to feel stressed out because our brain does not like change (neurologically speaking) but by observing our reactions we can start building up new neural pathways so when similar situations arise again we will react differently – which means being more resilient!
The first step towards building resilience is to understand its roots. What are our personal strengths and how can we build on them? What are our areas of opportunity where we need to put extra effort into developing new skills?
The first step towards building resilience is to understand its roots. What are our personal strengths and how can we build on them? What are our areas of opportunity where we need to put extra effort into developing new skills? Asking these questions will help us get clarity about who we are, what our values are and what motivates us. When you have this understanding, it becomes easier to take steps in your life that will lead you closer to living your best life. It’s a good idea to write down what comes up for you when reflecting on these questions so that you can refer back later if needed.
We have all spent 20 years or more operating in a world that was stable & predictable. That has changed forever.

● The world is changing fast, it is more complex than ever before and will continue to be so for the foreseeable future.
● The world is more unpredictable than ever before. This presents both opportunities and challenges for businesses of all sizes, sectors and geographies as they strive to create an effective response to these global changes while retaining their competitive edge – especially in today's challenging economic climate where cost-cutting is imperative but resources are limited; where time-to-market has never been so important; where speed of delivery is key to gaining market share against competitors who may have similar products/services on offer but superior agility; where innovation offers new ways forward but requires enormous amounts of capital investment (and often failure) before success can be achieved: In short, this is why resilience matters now more than ever before!
Resilience is crucial skill set during crisis but also in daily life of every organization and individual.
Resilience is a crucial skill set for everybody in every organization. It’s also an important asset for individuals who can use it in their daily lives. And this is true regardless of whether you are part of a crisis or not.

When I speak about resilience, I mean the ability to recover quickly from setbacks and difficulties, as well as adapt well to change and/or new situations (such as when working with a new team). If you have very little resilience, it means that you tend to give up quickly when things get difficult—you might even feel like giving up immediately. These kinds of people tend not to be successful in their careers because they don’t have what it takes mentally or emotionally; they’re simply not prepared for unexpected events or changes which occur more often than we think!
Mistakes will happen - they are a part of being human - it's ok to make mistakes if we learn from them. Mistakes are one of the key ingredients of success because they help us to refine our learning.
Mistakes are a part of being human, they happen to all of us. It is essential that we learn from our mistakes and use it as an opportunity to grow and refine ourselves.
If you have made a mistake then try not to be too hard on yourself about it. Your mistake has given you the chance to reflect upon your actions, evaluate them and make changes for future situations if necessary.
The most important thing when making mistakes is how we deal with them in the present moment rather than focusing on any past errors or bad decisions made by others (or me). If we can maintain our focus on what needs doing now then there is no need for self-blame or guilt because these emotions will only create more stress which will hinder our ability to think clearly in this moment!
There is no such thing as mistakes. They are simply opportunities to learn. The root word of ’mistake‘ means ‘to take something new’, so it’s really a choice whether you see them as an opportunity or not.

If you think about it, your life has been filled with mistakes and failures that have helped shape who you are today. So don’t be afraid to make mistakes! As long as you correct them and remember them for when they happen again, then everything will work out fine in the end!
Being aware about your own strength areas as well as areas for development is key to success for organizations and individuals
Being aware about your own strength areas as well as areas for development is key to success for organizations and individuals.
We would like to share with you some of the most important lessons that we have learned during our work in #crisis situations:
● Be aware of your strengths and weaknesses.
It is much easier to see the holes in others than in ourselves, but it is not always easy to see our own strengths either. It's good to ask others their opinion on this topic because they will give it honestly and without any bias, based on their perspectives and experiences; those who know you better might know exactly where you are strong or weak at certain things (e.g., organization skills). A lot can be learned by asking colleagues how they perceive your abilities, which can help build stronger relationships among team members so that everyone feels comfortable sharing their ideas at meetings or workshops etcetera!
We have all spent 20 years or more operating in a world that was stable & predictable. That has changed forever.
In order to be prepared for this new world, we need to develop resilience. Resilience is crucial skill set during crisis but also in daily life of every organization and individual. It’s about being aware about your own strength areas as well as areas for development so that you can develop yourself as an individual and team player
There are three steps towards building resilience:
● Understand its roots: What are our personal strengths? How can we build on them?
● What are our areas of opportunity where we need to put extra #effort into developing new skills?
● Mistakes will happen - they are a part of being human - it's ok if we learn from them. Mistakes are one of the key ingredients of success because they help us refine our learning! There is no such thing as mistakes...they are simply opportunities to learn!
The root word of ’mistake‘ means ‘to take something new’ so it's really up to us whether we see them as an opportunity or not."
