In 2024, Little Rock, Arkansas-based film recycling company Revolution launched Dailygood Bags, which it says are the most eco-friendly heavy-duty trash bags created for everyday household use. The bags are made with as much as 97 percent-post-consumer-recycled (PCR) plastic, the company says, resulting in lower environmental impacts compared to trash bags made without recycled content. Revolution tells the average American family forms 18 pounds of trash daily, and 100 billion bags made from virgin plastic are sent to landfills daily. To make its Dailygood offering, Revolution gathers and recycles PCR from sources such as U.S. farms to form what it claims are the most durable, eco-friendly, commercial-strength trash bags for the home. The bags are made with its proprietary Sustainable Loop business model that helps to keep local businesses and communities free of plastic scrap that would otherwise be buried or sent to landfills. The Bags come in two sizes—13-gallon tall kitchen drawstring and 30-gallon large drawstring—and are available in a variety of pack sizes online for US$ 10-US$ 20 per pack. The bags soon will be available at Amazon.

In 2023, Cintas Corporation in collaboration with Rubbermaid Commercial Products, is proud to reveal new trash can liner alternatives, called “Perfect Fit”, to help facilities minimize litter and stay clean. Cintas’ by-the-roll service permits facility operators to purchase fitted trash can liners, in both clear and black, that can support different trash can sizes, ranging from desk-sized, all the way up to 55-gallon cans. “Pairing the proper trash can with a Perfect Fit liner can help decrease plastic waste and deliver cost-savings,” said Julia Messinger, Marketing Manager, Cintas. “This exclusive collaboration is an exciting opportunity to offer facility operators with a sustainable and economical solution.”  The Perfect Fit liners will help Cintas partners keep facilities’ inventory stocked while facility operators will only be charged for what they utilize.

Furthermore, the liners come in black and clear, supporting many manufacturing, food service, and hospitality facilities. The trash liners align with Rubbermaid Commercial Products’ popular BRUTE and Slim Jim trash cans, which are widely utilized across several industries. 

“Many businesses have the wrong size liners for their cans, and most often the case is having liners that are too large. This means business leaders and facility managers are paying for plastic they don’t utilize. Perfect Fit liners help reduce that waste while making it easier to dispose of trash by no longer having to tie off liners,” added Messinger.
