RL100: The Changing of The Chair

When we look back at 2019 we’ll remember it as the year the RL100 found its purpose.

Over the 12 month period, we established why we exist, our values and our approach. Once we had this in place, it allowed us to fast track projects like the D&I in TA Survey, the Maturity Model, and to build out a more rounded RL Accelerator Program for our future leaders, amongst others. This was a year of advancement for the group.

And this was in no small part down to the outstanding leadership from our then Chair, Adrian Thomas.

As Adrian steps away from the position of Chair, and into Chair of the RL100 Alumni, we wanted to say a huge 'thank you' for all the work he's put in over 2019. We honestly could not have asked for a better person to guide us through 2019. The volume and quality of work that Adrian has put in has been second to none and, through it all, he has not once had anything but the best interest of the group at heart. At times he’s been a mentor to me personally, an intrinsic part of the TREC team and someone I genuinely take pride in calling a friend. We are a better group for his leadership over the last year.

However, it's time to carry on the good work done in 2019 and we are thrilled with whom we've found to take us forward. We are pleased to announce the appointment of Barbara Lee to the position of Chair of the RL100. Barbara has been an integral part of the Leadership Council for 2019 and spearheaded some of our most important projects, which makes this a natural fit. Barbara’s experience in the wider HR world will undoubtedly offer the membership a different perspective on some of the key issues they will face over the next few years.
