The Root Cause of the United States economic woes – LATINOPHOBIA.

The Root Cause of the United States economic woes – LATINOPHOBIA.

The time is long overdue to address the Elephant in the room – fearmongering, the result of political power struggles and a failed drug war originally designed, not as a means to reduce drug addiction in the United States, but a mechanism to control and oppress minorities and foreign countries.

Over forty years of data and reporting reveal the failed drug war crusade has accomplished nothing more than mass incarceration of minorities, epidemic drug overdose deaths and the marginalization, demonization and oppression of entire countries.

Despite the endless stream of data from the #UN, DEA, CDC, NIH, Universities and countless organizations – there remains a continued attack upon countries in Latin America beyond swooping Blackhawks, millions of gallons of glycophosphate and steel doorknockers (called Louisville Sluggers in the USA) beating down the doors of the next (insert name here) cartel member busted in Medellin, Cali, Bogota, Mexico City…

Demand for illegal drugs in the USA has either “increased or remained static”- as the DEA, Homeland Security and every agency receiving Drug War Crusade funds - states countless times year after year when trying to justify their annual budget increase to fund the failed war on drugs.

To no avail whatsoever.

As the police officer from #Colombia said in the NBC News hit piece for ratings said after the bust of two drug dealers – another two will take their place.

Why?

Because the United States is the world’s largest consumer of illegal drugs IN THE WORLD.

Demand drives supply.

If the supply dries up – make a synthetic.

Round and round we go while 100,000 people die of drug overdose and 100,000 more in drug related gun violence in the USA - every year.

“Just say No” isn’t working, but that doesn’t stop an entire political faction from making it seem as the USA is nothing more than innocent victims whose kids cannot discern colored fentanyl from Skittles.

It was Halloween after all...trick or treat.

Colombia and Mexico - denigrated to evil doer drug state status.

“Do you hate Mexicans?” “Want to build a wall?”

Nothing more than rhetorical racism at it’s political best.

Even worse – you want the good old USA to speak a second language? Didn’t we settle that with beat downs of Cubans and Puerto Ricans in Dade County in the eighties?

Fact check that one with a Supreme Court ruling.

The fact is – venom spewing hate mongering lying easily reinforce fears.

And now it is detrimental to the survival of the United States.

Every economist, even the Federal Reserve states the same thing – we have a labor shortage of epic proportions that will continue as our aging population retires and breathes its last breath.

This fact, combined with the declining size of the family unit - a trend that has taken place for decades ( USA – you stopped making babies) is the real cause of our inflation problems.

And yet, we continue to turn away the very people we desperately need to fill jobs across the entire spectrum of employment –

because the United States is afraid of turning brown.

We feel justified treating war refugees we mislabel as “migrants or immigrants” as cattle, or worse a demonic force intent upon destroying our Baseball, Apple pie and Chevrolets.

We save Beagles not Immigrants.

We commit Human rights violations in the name of “protecting our border” or “fighting the War on Drugs” while we are at near catastrophe with a shortage of railway workers, logistics and supply chains, simultaneously bemoaning the fact our favorite things are either skyrocketing in price or missing from the Walmart shelves altogether.

It’s long overdue that the United States drops the denial and blame games. Odd that the USA has a cocaine usage and overdose rate over 2.5 times that of the country that grows the plant.

Read about fentanyl overdose epidemics in Mexico?

Nope.

What is plainly obvious – we spend a great deal of money in flights returning the very people we so desperately need to work – back to the countries we have emaciated with a failed drug war crusade.

Far better to continue with opiate addiction than to admit John Ehrlichman’s admission of truth.

Maybe the USA will binge watch Encanto instead of Narcos, listen to some more Bad Bunny, learn to Salsa, enjoy the shots of Patron on their birthday, look forward to Taco Tuesday – and realize the people from #Guatemala are not invisible extensions of garbage cans wandering our office buildings.

Maybe the USA will realize – not all Latinos are brown, they are a diverse people just like us – trying to live out their hopes, dreams and aspirations.

And that most would prefer to do so in their home countries.

The same countries the USA has wreaked havoc in for decades in it’s self-righteous, minority killing, human rights violating, failed drug war crusade.

The USA needs an intervention - Before it kills us – in more ways than one.
