RUN YOUR RACE

I have written to you about this a couple of times and you are reading something similar today again. I write to you again on the need to focus and run your own race and not compare yourself and your race with that of someone else.

Most of us do this from time to time; we compare ourselves to those we feel are doing better than us and in the process of comparing, we forget to appreciate our own efforts and how far we have come.

Sometimes, it is okay to compare if it helps awaken you to sit up and improve but doing it constantly and dwelling on it is where it becomes bad for you and your mental wellbeing. Sometimes, I compare myself to others too but I try not to dwell on it or let it affect me negatively. We all have areas we are not doing so well in but that should not make you compare yourself with someone else.

You have your race to run and so does the person or people with whom you are comparing yourself with. Remember, we are all unique and so is our race. My race is different from yours and so is mine from yours. Comparing yourself with another is a great disservice to yourself.

Run your face, focus on it and forget who seems to be doing well than you. Sometimes, the people with whom you compare yourself are not even doing as good as you think. You do not know everything and not all that glitters is gold.

Put in your best effort, pray to God to help you and put your mind at rest.

There is so much to worry about already so why stress yourself focusing on the race of another. Do your thing.

Has comparison brought you any good? Please share with us

Is good to try our best, but not to compare because today's world is full of illusions.
