Samuel Lee - leadership defined

Sam impressed me from the first day we met while working together at Movement. He has his own unique style and approach; that exemplifies the attributes you see posted about great leadership on Linked In. His success is not driven by a massive ego or a dying need for recognition. In fact, in our first meeting he talked solely about his team; why they were important to the each other and the organization at large...and how each was committed to their community in south San Diego. Not one word about himself.

 To be frank, he was coming from a bad place. His confidence was shaken, and he felt that prior leadership did not understand nor support his vision. But Sam had one thing that caught my attention. His BELIEF in himself and that his efforts could make a real difference in the lives of his team, business partners and his community. He was REAL.

Sam was a long-term top Producing MLO that made the shift into management. It was a natural for him...as the best leaders see the organizational chart through an inverted pyramid, with the team at the top and the leader at the bottom.
