Saturday Brave Pages: It's F🍁ll!

Saturday Brave Pages: It's F🍁ll!

Every Saturday, in my Braver Together Community, I share journal prompts with my amazing members. Today's prompts are especially contemplative. I debated if I should share them here or not. The voice in my head is telling me they are not 'business-y' enough to post on LinkedIn. But who are you outside your 8 to 5? You are YOU and these prompts are about YOU. I hope you find space today for YOU.

Comfy flannel shirts and soft pants? Yes!

Wrapping up in a cozy blanket on cool mornings? Yes!

Bengal spiced tea with buttershots and coconut creamer? Yes! (If you know, you know!)

Pumpkin spice anything? Not so much...

It's f🍁ll and three things Mother Nature knows intuitively can help us usher in this new season. Grab your journal and your pumpkin latte (if you like that kind of thing) and write from a place of openness and curiosity.

Embracing change

As the season changes, what changes are happening in your life?

These may be external changes like a new job, kids leaving home, an opportunity for growth or expansion. You might notice internal changes where you're speaking to yourself in a more loving way, an examination of your values and beliefs, a practice of discovering the authentic you.  These changes may be sparked by you or you may feel like you're swirling in the winds of change.

If you were to welcome change and not resist it, how would change flow through you? What can you honor in yourself as you embrace change? What change do you want to initiate in yourself now? Why?

Letting Go

In spring, leaves come out of their slumber starting as a bud until they are wide open and blowing in the wind, securely attached to the branch. Come fall, they take on the color of the season and instinctively know when it's time to let go and return to the earth.

What life cycle do you find yourself in where letting go is part of the process?  What are you ready to let go of and how will your life expand in the letting go? Where are you resistant to let go? Get curious about the fear or feeling that is keeping your grip strong... What do you need to trust in order to let go?

Enjoying the Harvest

Take a drive into the country and you'll see combines harvesting, sometimes late into the evening. Their crops are ready. They have put in the hard work to tending their fields... of watering and weeding and willing their plants to grow. It is time to bring in the harvest.

What did you plant earlier in the year (or your life) that is being harvested now? Where in your life do you feel abundant? Overflowing? What of this harvest can be shared with others? What 5 things are you most grateful for right now?

I'm so glad I live in a world where there are Octobers. ~ LM Montgomery, Anne of Green Gables
