The Season 9 XCMG Apprentice Review

The Season 9 XCMG Apprentice Review

Introduction: Project Background and Significance

Since 2016, the “XCMG Apprentice” program has become a vital bridge connecting XCMG with the world. In its ninth season, the program has reached over 90 countries and over 300 million views. This season, 23 employees from 9 regions and 17 countries joined an immersive 8-day experience, witnessing XCMG's technological strength and core values of “Responsibility, Virtue, and Fortitude.” More than a brand activity, XCMG Apprentice promotes XCMG's commitment to innovation, digital transformation, and global integration.

Activity Highlights: Experiences and Tours

During season nine of XCMG Apprentice, XCMG employees worldwide visited the XCMG headquarters for the first time, experiencing XCMG's technological strength and innovation firsthand. In the showroom, our global XCMGers engaged with platforms like the XCMG e-Maintenance, Smart Service Command Center, IoT platform, and Mining Management Hub, gaining a comprehensive understanding of XCMG service infrastructure. Entering the mid-sized excavator’s state-of-the-art production line, participants were amazed by advanced technologies, from flexible boom welding to intelligent logistics. A representative from Uganda  gave a thumbs up, exclaiming, “These robots are truly remarkable!”

On the operational side, our global XCMGers enthusiastically engaged in hands-on equipment challenges, such as the S-line competition with XCMG rollers and basketball shooting with excavators. These activities gave participants an in-depth appreciation of XCMG equipment performance and handling, enhancing their sense of pride as members of the XCMG family.

Additionally, the program featured rich cultural experiences and team-building activities. During the “XCMG Olympics”, our global XCMGers not only observed but also participated in a lion dance, fully immersing themselves in the cultural atmosphere of the headquarters. XCMGers also engaged in traditional crafts such as woodblock printing and bleaching paint fans and visited Xuzhou’s historical sites, further deepening their understanding of XCMG's cultural roots.

Key Moments and Global Connections

At the ending party, teams from five regions shared their insights on XCMG core strategies: high-end, intelligent, green, service-oriented, and internationalized industries. Awards were presented to outstanding individuals and teams, acknowledging their contributions to XCMG's global strategy.

The event concluded with a global lighting ceremony led by Chairman Yang and representatives from 14 regions, symbolizing the unity of “One XCMG.” Our global XCMGers then sang “We Are Family”, expressing their connection to the XCMG family.

Adam from XCMG USA described the experience as “unforgettable,” and Angela from XCMG Indonesia shared, “It was an invaluable experience that broadened my perspective.”

Looking to the Future

As our XCMG Apprentice program grows, it will continue to act as a bridge, connecting global talent with new perspectives that help shape the future of heavy machinery. With the guiding vision of “Empower Solid Future,” XCMG remains committed to advancing international collaboration, shared innovation, and sustainable progress. By building a global community rooted in expertise and mutual respect, we hope to foster a new generation of engineering talent and contribute to a stronger, more connected industry.
