We extend our deepest gratitude to our members, partners, volunteers, and stakeholders for their unwavering support in advancing the vision of WiM-Africa. Together, we’ve created a thriving, pan-African community committed to sustainable and inclusive growth in the mining sector.

  • Successfully appointed five new board members this year, strengthening our leadership team to drive impactful initiatives across the continent.
  • Our Executive Director had the privilege of participating in the Cornwall tour of mineral processing facilities etc, gaining invaluable insights into advanced mining practices and enhancing our commitment to fostering knowledge transfer and empowering our members with innovative solutions.

Looking Ahead to 2025 🚀

As we step into 2025, we are energized to advance our mission with greater focus and determination. This year, we will intensify our efforts on our flagship program, Voices of Children from the Pit, amplifying advocacy and actionable solutions to address child labour in mining communities. Additionally, we are committed to expanding our Investment Readiness Program, equipping artisanal women miners with the tools and resources to secure grants, access loans, and scale their operations sustainably.

Critical intervention programs will remain a priority, addressing urgent challenges as they arise while maintaining a strong emphasis on planned policy engagement, community outreach, and major events that drive impactful dialogue and collaboration.

To keep the momentum going, we’ve scheduled flagship events to foster collaboration, learning, and innovation:
