September & October Company updates

The past month has flown in for us as we have had so much on and unfortunately our LinkedIn page reflects it and feels neglected (my bad)!

Finally - we attended the Exhibition

After our months of preparing sample brochures and sample products we finally got to showcase our company at the Northern Ireland Manufacturing and supply chain Exhibition in September.

The day was a massive success for all involved - although i think it's been quite a while since I've talked that much in one day. We were at stand C22 and it turned out to be a great day. With lots of leads from potential new customers, meeting and talking to potential new suppliers - and a lot of our existing customers were there so it was good to touch base with people we hadn't seen in a while!

We are so thankful to all of our staff who helped in prep work for the exhibition and to Sandi, Michael & Marcin who came to the show with us to showcase our company, Claire and I definitely needed the help as it was quite busy!

Four day working week?

This has been something that has came up in conversation more than once in the past 4 years - in September we decided to investigate the possibility of this working - and after a week of looking at it from every which way - i had to give in and agree that it seemed like a good option. Not only were our employees VERY happy at the thought of an extra day off a week, but it also meant that production time would increase, which is a great selling point for our machines that always seem under pressure.

So - we now are open 5 days a week, but we only do 4 day working weeks each - this is on a 3 month trial basis at the minute but it seems to work well, even if it does take a bit of getting used to doing 10 hour days!

Refreshing the place

We decided we needed to freshen up the place so for the past few weeks we have had our painting gear on and thanks to a few employees our walls, stairs and beams all look great. Even our very old, almost retired, hasn't seen paint CNC machine got a fresh couple of coats....pictures to follow on our feed!
